Does anyone know about Bobs Towing on south federal? They gave me an estimate of about $80 to tow it to my house. Is that a good price?
During regular hours (not 3:00 am during a blizzard on Cinco De Mayo) most tow places charge between $3-$7 per mile, with something like a $50-$75 charge just to hook the vehicle up to the truck. I'd say that's a good deal. Will it be a flat bed or a combo truck?
cheapest way to go is to find one "off the books."
that does have risks of its own though.
Well I don't know what kind of hook up they would use but I'm sure it will be a flat bed.

tool rental shops around town have the car dollies to rent. Usually about $50 for 24 hours. Have used them many times for situations like this. Lakewood Rentals has them I know.

80 bucks for a 12 mile hook is a good deal. Most tow companies charge 75.00 just to hook it, and then 3-5 bucks per mile after that.
Bobs is a clean and reputable company, they have been around a looong time. I know, I drove for them for a while in a past life.
You might be able to find a dolly rental for a bit cheaper but when you add your time, gas and aggravation of loading and towing I would gladly pay the 80 bucks to let them transport it for you.
Been there, done that too many times and I recall many times towing vehicles that people tried to dolly/trailer and something went awry and they had to call a hook. Cost them twice as much in the end.

Well I got the Bronco home all safe and sound, only $80 even.
Also, the master brake cylinder was dead but I still had no brakes. So I took off the front left wheel and found this
