So now they are going to change its course. Isn't there every possibility they will cause it to actually hit us?

All I know is I'd rather have fedgov spend the $$ on shooting a rock like this with a giant bullet like they want to do than spend it on the crap they do now.

Apophis won't hit Colorado. It's orbit would most likely hit the earth in the Caribbean region, you can write off Florida and alot of the east coast of the USA. If it doesnt hit there it will impact somewhere between California and Hawaii.
When I first started watching this list of "Potentially Hazardous Asteroids" the count was 404, now it is over 1200.

If the asteroid impacts the earth, it will be in 2036. I will be an old man.
