One of our twins got locked in a car for 3 weeks. She is fine now - but never caught up to the her sister size.

good luck finding her. also call the pound tomorrow. maybe somebody picked her up or animal control did. they would have a scanner as well and would call the contact info you had when you had the cat registered with the microchip. you have to pay yearly to "update" that info, but it is always saved with the original info.
hope she comes back soon, i know the sick feeling you get when a pet goies missing....not fun
Put a little food in a bowl on the porch... caught mine once that way.
They find their way home usually in a few hours to days. Been there done that several times.
When I saw the thread title I figured this was about bad shooting while dispatching one in the yard.
Sorry ya lost your cat.
Good luck...hope you find her.
You're cat is louder than your gf?... you're doing it wrong... heheheheh.
Anyways, I also hope you find her. Check the place where you got her chipped and update your info. Check the local animal rescues/pound. Make flyers, put food out, etc. All the things that have been listed. Usually cats are pretty good at coming home. Hope it turns out well.
Check the window wells. Many cats that wander outside for the first time end up in one of these. They must see the window and think they can get back in the house that way.
Make sure to also knock on every neighbor's door and ask them if they have seen your cat. It is very possible that someone may have already found it and is waiting for you to come claim it.
Best wishes!
May the Great Spirit guide your friend home safely.
