It's a Washington, DC public school - what did you expect? Especially at one named for Malcolm X? You're more likely to see rainbow farting unicorns come out of a place like that than common sense.
In our (still) very racially divided Nation, the message that this school is trying to bring forth to their students is actually quite noble: Malcolm X Elementary School has declared today “Trayvon Martin Day” in an effort “to better educate students and their parents about race relations and social injustice.”
