I understand that but look at the other side. Let me show an example last saturday I went out to dinner with my family. We went to Texas Road House I had prime rib. My plate was $16 plus drinks, tip and tax of course. I could have bought that dinner for under $5 at a grocery store. The problem is that building I sat in was not free, the waitress does not work for free, the cook does not work for free, the dishwasher does not work for free, the insurance on that place is not free, the utillities are not free, the workmans comp is not free, the booth I sat in was not free, I could go on for ten pages I think you get my point.Quote:

I didn't mean any offense and I had a bad day yesterday and probably should not have even posted.
I don't think you understand or have any idea what the over head is to run a shop. Renting a bay is like trying to sell water door to door you will end up living under a bridge. If there even was a place willing to do it I don't even want to know what their insurance would cost if they could even get any.
As I stated I will help you and you are welcome to PM me. I have helped other members here.
Yeah, I know it all costs money, but the guy was just asking if anywhere around rents shop space by the hour. Nobody here asked for free shop space, nor free or even cheaper car work by a professional, which your little restaurant analogy would be pointing to.
The only reason I haven't seriously considered this 'shop space for rent' as a business (having worked just about every job at a 3 bay garage/gas station except mechanic and accountant) is that insurance on such a place would be a nightmare.
the military have a facility on some bases/posts called the 'auto/hobby shop' (~) where you can do just what the man is looking for... I don't think Buckly has one ...yet.
It sucks being self reliant and not having the space to do things... Thats another reason I'm wanting a house.... I miss my tools!!!! [pirate2]
I've taken my cars to HunterCO and have had great success!! He worked on the hummer and my expedition!
Even if such a thing existed, I wonder how much it would cost...$80-$100/day maybe? You might as well have the oil changed for $25 at the quick-lube.
Even though you had to withstand a little http://i118.photobucket.com/albums/o...apComputer.gif, it sounds like HunterCO is offering you a place where you can do some simple work on your ride without your neighbors calling the HOA cops on you. Shoot, you don't even need to take up one of his bays to do that kind of stuff anyway.
Yes the military has its perks, that is one of them.Quote:
