On the more serious side, I'd heavily fund two college educations, upgrade the house to have a three car garage, buy my wife that new car, fund a couple of patent ideas and stick the rest into savings.

A million bucks? Pay off family's and my debts. Get some maintenance done on the car. Purchase a wish list gun. Help a few friends out. Throw the rest in a retirement account and don't touch.
buy a property to build on (retirement/hideaway), pay off houses, and vehicles, and invest what is left.
