Yes

If you go with the RD brake, be careful tightening it down don't over do it. 30 inch lbs it came loose, 40 inch lbs OK.

i've got a holland quick discharge brake on a 7.5lb rem 700 in 300 win mag
its unreal how it does not recoil
recoils less than my heavy rem 700 in 308
recoils less than a friend's heavy 243
also extremely loud for everyone around me
