Yeah, I have a problem with your stats too. Keep in mind, we are on the same side. But 50% mortality by being in car is simply inaccurate. And there are further manipulations of the stats you quoted; apparently someone morphed the number of firearms in the country into a false correlation of the populous. You can't claim "ONE.....insane person.....out of 300,000,000.00 people" when the "300,000,000" figure is quantifying firearms, not people.
Again, we are on the same side. But I find it underhanded when journalists or other leftists manipulate statistics to falsly support their claims, so I feel that we must be above that, and above reproach. We don't need such trickery to support our position.
I used your top portion, and added a new bottom to it. I hope you don't mind. [Beer]

The problem is not alcohol, cars, or firearms, the problem is idiots. What is listed above are the facts about auto related accidents because it is something that everyone can relate to. What I think is important to note here, is that stupid, insane, crazy (whatever your name for them is) people, don't care about you or your family. They don't care about rules, laws, or morals. I feel bad for the victims of the Aurora shooting that were touched by one of these kinds of people, I really do. Now more than ever though, I will tell whoever is reading this to learn how to protect yourself, and your family. I carry not because I'm afraid, but because I'm prepared, this is one of those "it is better to have and not need, than to need and not have" kind of things. Why do you wear a seatbelt? Is it because you are afraid of getting into an accident? Do you expect to get into an accident? Or are you merely prepared? As being prepared goes, I bet I will never have to unholster my firearm, and for that I am greatful, but it will always be with me in case I lose that bet. I carry because a random act of violence, is just that, a random act that can happen to anyone, anywhere and turn any of us into a statistic. I carry because I want to be prepared in case I have to protect my family, myself, or those that can't, or choose not to protect themselves. I carry because, well, I care.
