+p ammo, is it safe.

Occasional use of +P ammo in a steel framed, heavy barrel, S&W Model 10 probably will not hurt it, as long as you are not going through 50 rounds at a time at the range. Use only factory +P loads, never +P+ or +P reloads.

+P is defense ammo. Even in some guns rated for +P, running a few hundred rounds can lead to excess wear on the gun. This can throw off the timing or loosen things up. Should be okay, but it will be hard on the gun.

I heard shooting people with +p Resulted in Acute lead poisoning and deceleration trauma.
So I would have to say it depends on your position in the situation.
