I guess Google is having a bit of a glitch with their Voice product and I think we just suffered a bit of this issue:
"Some users have reported that the Call Recording feature has been turning on unintentionally. We are working on resolving this issue as soon as possible.
As a workaround you can disable call recording. To disable this feature:
Sign into Google Voice and go to your Google Voice Settings.
Click the Calls tab.
Under Call Options deselect the checkbox next to Enable recording and Conferencing options on inbound calls."
The most recent NSA building was built to monitor all communications covertly... I doubt that would announce they can hear your phone conversation and read your email even though they can.... It would cause a public outcry. People don't like being monitored.
