I shot my first 22 when I was five. I now have the gun I shot as it was my dad's who was given to him as a gift from my grandfather. My oldest is 5 but I don't feel he totally has the control yet. Next summer we will see. Since I have two boys I decided NOT to pass down the Anschutz to them but instead get each of them a Ruger 22.

Yeah that is a good time to show and teach them respect of what the tool is about. I remember going out and shooting the 22 and then dad pulled out the big boy toys and they scared the shite out of me. I then knew what they did and what they were capable of. Treated them with respect after that..........

This coming summer I think my oldest boy will be ready. Heck got to get the wife out there as well. She has an AR I built her and has never shot it. Cant wait for all the family to have range time.................[Beer]
