If I am not mistaken, I am sure it is MSAR.

I agree with changing the terminology.
My Fiancee was talking about this earlier, talking about how assault rifles should be banned. Being new to the shooting world, I informed her that they ARE illegal, that what I own, and many others, are AR-15s. The AR stands for Armalite, the original designer of the AR15. I think the term assault rifle was people just running away and assuming thats what the AR meant, so anything that is a black rifle is an assault rifle, and anything thats a black pistol is a glock.
My favorite rifle isn't an AR. It's a ST-15.
How about we name it O-15 ... everybody will worship it now.
Since my M1 was built specifically to be used by a soldier in a war, does that make it a true Assault Rifle? And since my Bushmaster carbine was built for civilian purchase and use how could it possibly be called a Assault Rifle?
And why is the identical carbine my next door neighbor has in his deputy Sheriff's car called a Patrol Rifle and mine is called an Assault Rifle? And because my Bushmaster is black would it be racist to speak of it in a derogatory way?
I can live with Modern Sporting Rifle and will use that term for now.
I didn't know what AR stood for so I just call mine Aaron's Reaper. [Tooth]
