Denver is the same way. Lived near Alameda and Federal back in the day and we go out side at midnight and listen and then run back in for cover. We called it the Tet Offensive.

Nothing like getting black out drunk and firing off a couple hundred rounds into the sky....

When I was with the San Diego Sheriffs Office, we had to all come off the street 10 minutes before 12 untill 10 minutes or so after. Rounds were impacting the roof of the office. People were calling in nonstop reporting gun fire.

^this. When I worked armed security at a casino in Las Vegas, us outside units were required to stay tucked inside the parking garaged until the majority of the gunfire stopped.

This reminds me of boondock saints when willem dafoes character yells "there was a fire fight" and shoot into the air. Hahaha
