Man Shot in Face Had Gun, Chose Not to Use It

If someone shoots you in the face with a fully charged pellet gun at point blank range, most people would assume they'd just been shot with a .22 pistol. Between the noise, vapor, pain, shock, and auditory exclusion associated with adrenaline, that would be a reasonable assumption. Personally, I think he was trying to rationalize why he froze up rather than draw his weapon or run away.

I'll give him the doubt, he said he was surprised he was alive, so maybe he realized what it was... I wouldn't have shot him if I realized it was a pellet gun or BB gun, but then again muscle memory and instinct might take over, Maybe you are right, he doesn't have the muscle memory or instinct to use his gun. Either way, glad he didn't and glad it was just a pellet gun!
