Hi Ben and welcome to the forums.
Some time ago, I looked at 6.8 vs 5.56 for the AR platform.
At the time, ammo costs were the biggest concern with 6.8 running around twice the cost of 5.56.
5.56 was plentiful then and I decided that I didn't need to get into stocking a different type of round.
