Same for me, sensors or cpap. Noise, light, motion ok fine, just nothing touching my face.

You're not alone, I had a sleep study done a year ago and had to join the cpap club. Found out a ton of people have to use them. They are a pain in the butt and imperfect as far as being a total solution, but I'm better off with it than without it. You may need to try out different types of masks before finding one that works better than the others.
My wife just gets upset because when I tell her things like, "honey, wanna take a ride into the danger zone?!" She is not impressed.
If she ever says "Negative, Ghost Rider. The pattern is full" I'll shoot my face mask full of snot.

I had to do that sleep test last year as well. I don't think I slept at all. I couldn't move with all those wires. They wanted me to go on the CPAP, but it wasn't comfortable for me, so I ended up having surgery and my tonsils, adenoids and uvula removed. I sleep a lot better now as does the wife. Very painful surgery though.
I have a cpap machine as well, it improves my sleep tremendously...when I actually use the thing. I opted for the nose pillows rather than the mask, more comfortable and less intrusive in my opinion.
i had one once. i don't think i went to sleep until about 4 am because of all the wires.
