The statistic itself is possibly true. After all, far more criminals carry guns than women intent on personal protection. However, even if the statistic is 100% true, it doesn't take into account the number of violent attacks stopped by a woman with a gun that didn't result in the death of the perpetrator, and the context in which Hudak presented the statistic shows that she wants to lead us to believe that for every one woman who successfully defends herself with a gun, 83 are killed when the perpetrator disarms them and uses their own gun against them.Quote:
