I did. I asked if in the future you could notify me of such action with a sentence or two explaining your decision.

I understand the question, on another forum I was on (computer gaming lol) if you got naughty, they'd kill your thread and it'd automatically send you a "Thread Killed" message (and the moderator could add a personal message/threat).
What I think *might* be useful, is if there was some way to delete threads and send a quick msg to the offending author with a link to the rule section or whatever that they're breaking. Otherwise, if it's a hit & run kind of thread (or the author went out of town right after posting it, etc) you're going to have a deleted thread but the author might not even know that it was deleted and/or why.
If a thread's going to be deleted, I think it's worth the extra 10 seconds to quickly educate the author on why such a thread is not permitted, and this can be done by quickly copy/pasting a link to the forum rules section where such activity is posted as prohibited. Surely the big main reasons for a thread deletion only amount to 5 or so, just have quick links ready.
OK.. I think I have misunderstood the whole context of this post.
I'm going to politely bow out of this thread. I apologize to the original poster for my misunderstanding.
Sorry.

We usually do send messages. Sometimes we get overly busy, or simply forget.
Other times are when the deleted post is obviously borderline, and the poster usually half expects it to get deleted. So we assume they k is why it's gone.
Because fuck you, that's why.
Seriously? You really need to ask? I thought that thread you started which promoted armed insurrection was the result of alcohol poisoning.
Guess what? They are counting on people like you to go postal, and it is even better in their opinion if you are loosely organized into a "conspiracy" or a "militia" because that will give them the excuse they need to fast track emergency powers and martial law . . . which is counterproductive.
Personally, I think they overreached and bit off more than they can chew, and the backlash is going to bite them on the ass hard. People are pissed off at the politicians responsible for this, but "revolution" the way you envision it just is not a viable option.
I find it I interesting that a pro 2a site like this gets worried when you say things contained in the 2a or the Constitution.
