Gore something.
And if everyone parked like that it would save space.
I hate when people don't know how to drive in the snow. both the people who think they can go 90 mph, but also the guys who drive like they have all day to go a mile and a half. It's snow! It's not like all friction has left the world and going over 3 mph will result in your death!
I drove my Carrera GT to work today. Don't see what the big deal is.
Motorcycles and snow don't mix (unless its a dirt bike) and fortunately we have a couple of crash jobs to work on 'cause ain't nobody bringin' their bikes in for service in this weather. My tech will be playing a lot of solitaire this week.

Test driving a customers car in this weather when it has bald tires is down right scary. Just saying.
Told us not to come to work and canceled all the appointments. Then @ 6am said to come to work. Then it started snowing and people are standing around with there thumb up there ass because we all got called in and no patients.
Around 8 they tried to get all the people who had canceled appts back in but most opted out because by noon it was coming down pretty good. Around 1 they started sending people home.[Bang]
My car with the studded hankook I-pike is rather boring. So it is still coming down. Attachment 37569
Took all of 5 min to go 1.5 miles for some additions to my chicken soup. Knowing there's 2 lanes and driving in them, seem to be 2 different things for some folks.
Had some asshat slide through a turn and push my bumper into my tire. I was able to pull the bumper out but now I get to deal with insurance and the body shop for the second time in three months.

Driving the Tank (89 F250 4x4) in in the morning. Riding a bike in this shit would be just stupid...
Test driving bobtail semi trucks is no fun in this... 2000 ft lbs of torque and no weight on the ass end makes for some interesting unintentional drifting
I had to drop my Ecoboost F150 of at the dealer, they told me it had a cracked spark plug. WTF... 50,000 miles, what a piece of crap. Ford should be the one paying for this. They gave me a front will drive loaner Escape with bald tires. I barely made it up a hill this morning. I felt like that guy I always curse for being unprepared for the Co weather.
Very looooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooong drive up to DIA & back today, but safe & sound, thank the Good Lord! Wow, some drivers, though. People off the road all over, lots of fender benders & worse.
Jerry, I saw those studded tires yesterday, must have been nice today...
LOL. You got off easy.
Have fun reading.

Every time it snows in a big city, everyone is having the exact same conversation.

Saw a sweet single car accident on 225 heading south past 6th. I was in the middle lane doing about 45 and cars were whipping past me on the left and right. One car was probably doing 55+ hit the brakes and went right into the concrete barrier. There was visible ice and very slick. Dumbass. Have a nice day.
1.9 degrees in Broomfield. NICE!!!!
I saw a guy riding his bicycle on the bike path, makes me want to try it.
3 degrees right now in Evergreen, but it was -24 this morning when I got up around 0530. Luckily we didn't have the power go out at our house... 7500 customers reported power outages last night/this morning between Evergreen and Bailey. That must have sucked.
Been plowing,
Pulled Sanata out of the ditch in his suburban.
Had a guy doing 45 in a 25 bald tires barely miss me then pulled him out of the ditch he went in for $50.00
Pulled an Audi out of about 8" of snow,,, LMAO the chick said that she was told they can't get stuck. $25.00 and Audis, don't have any where to hool em.
-14 whne I got up we lost power for around 4 hours, put the ice hut heater under the house to keep pipes warm brought the big hunting heater inside just in case. Power back at about 5:40. prepped we was. 22 at this time down right Hot out there.
OK lunch is over back to pushing snow.
Bingo. This is why I finally felt compelled to post to this thread. I just drive in 4 lanes all around Fort Collins & Loveland at 25mph on DRY pavement because terrified people driving RWD w/bald tires couldn't take their fears to the right hand lane w/their terrified counterparts. I'm fine with the fact that you can't drive in the snow, even when there isn't any on the ground speak of, but don't make it my problem too.
It's not really an art form, just applied physics. I used to teach a performance winter driving course and did ice racing and other crazy things. If the idiots going up hills in FWD at 5mph were not on the roads, 60 mph would be rather pedestrian in all reality.
Pop quiz: All else equal, rank the amount of "traction" you would have in the following conditions:
a. 0F on ice
b. 32F on packed snow
c. 90F on wet worn asphalt
most to least: b, a, c?

All I know is that the elevated portion of I-70 WB was slicker 'n greased whale snot this morning. I was running about 40 in the right lane after traffic started to open up, tried to accelerate to about 45, and felt the truck starting to go sideways. I backed off the throttle a smidge (technical term), and it straightened right out, but it was a bit unsettling. For some reason, I didn't see the need to panic, or put the truck in 4 wheel drive, just slowed down until I was off the skating rink...
This reminds me of a snow storm in Boulder back in 2006. I was near Walnut and Broadway and watched a car turn left onto Broadway from (not Walnut because thats a one way there), anyways, about 6" of snow on the ground and she was turning left while talking on the cell phone. Her back end broke out and she couldn't turn, was headed straight for the stop light and also didn't see the need to panic or drop her cell phone as she slammed into the light pole. After she stopped, she kept yakking away. [Shake]
I was laughing SO hard at the californian blonde.
Did a full 360 in the middle of the street leaving work today. Not even on purpose this time.
