Think someone said they want it in .243? They have one @ USA liberty arms for like $1,1xx.
I wonder id they will make a left handed model in this....
Ruger said no plans at this time to make a lefty. I was bummed to say the least.
Well that figures, screwed again.
Oh i have, i just like the fact that some gun makers actually will make a popular gun in left handed. I injured my eye right eye when i was 12, ended up having my Renta reattached, it left me with 20/400 vision. I am right handed, but left eye dominate now. I grew up shooting right handed guns, but like the ability to shoot on my stronger side.
It was nice seeing you on hampden yesterday btw, sorry i didnt say much i was on the phone with my soon to be ex-boss.
Looks like the going online price seems to be around $1,199 for the 6.5. Internet banter have said the 308 is a little less. Dunno. Seems like a sub $1k price tag might be within reach given a little time. Can't wait to see some actual owner reviews.
Anybody seen or heard how to/how hard it is the swap barrels? Just curious

Looking for one locally... if anyone had leads
Looking at the drawings and from the reading I've done, its essentially like a hybrid of a savage type barrel nut with AR barrel nut wrenhes. So AR multi tool, headspace gauges, and a maybe an action wrench/vice block of some sort. Biggest thing is waiting for someone to start producing prefit barrels.
My LGS said when they can get them, they'll retail for $990 in 6.5CM.
It happened.. Quick what I think, actions not the smoothest, but it's never been shot so I'll leave it at that till I run some rounds down. Trigger has a little creep but a nice break, consistent at albs. The plastic end of the bolt (shroud) is cheesy but it only serves as a storage unit and travels into the buffer tube, far as I can tell. Bolt lift is nice, shorter throw than Remington's. I don't like the way AIC mags fit, pmags fit great (came with 2 10rd mags), haven't tried any others yet but will. The threads are cut nice and feel good when putting on the can, I think they paid attention to the difference between a class III cut verses a muzzle break or comp. Lots of adjustment out back, and the folder locks up tight, pretty impressive. If it shoots anything like they've shown, it's not gonna be beat, everyone will be able to play the game. Don't know ill get it out this weekend, but if I do I'll post something up in a different (new) thread.
KS63, not sure if they had anything else, I asked to be called when they had a 6.5, and I went by on my lunch hour yesterday, no time to browse.
^^^Thanks for the info. Very nice setup you've got there. Looking forward to your shooting impressions.
Seems like I haven't seen one in forever but wouldn't one of those ar grips with the big basepad be great for this? Yknow the one for rifles with bipods so you could sit it down without it rolling over.
Sure why not, they aren't very friendly to competition shooting though.
Yeah those, swear it feels like they disappeared, used to se them all the time. Why they no good? Rules or get in the way?
They are made by Ergo Grip, readily available, I've found them to be very cumbersome to shoot with personally and I'm not a fan. To each their own.
Ok smchop. It's been a week and a half. We need results.....
I'm surprised not more of you have snagged one already and posted results?
One thing I found is reports that the samson rails get to be off centered. Doesn't hit barrel so I think cosmetic. Conflicting reports, several I see say it's been happening on AR's too. Some say it's just the method the thing is screwed onto the thing. Sounds like plenty of 3rd parties working on a different dedicated rail for it that would mount different.
Put a deposit down, now the waiting game.
The Samson rail I put on my 9" 300BLK build is a bit wonky IMHO but it's all I could lay hands on that was a right fit for a QD mount can. Nothing significant, and no movement so far, just seems a bit off center vertically. I don't mount optics to the fore rail so meh.
First post. I purchased a RPR 2 weeks ago in.243. 300 rounds thru it and I am pleased with its performance. Accuracy has been 1/2 to3 /4 moa out to 600 yds. for 5 shot groups. I am using Lapua, Berger 108's, hornady 105's, H4831(seems to like 42.0-42.2 gr.), CCI LR mag primers. velocities 2940 fps. Atlas bipod, rear bag, xtreme hardcore gear hybrid muzzle break. I have shot groups with and without the break, firm hold or almost free recoil, loading bipod or not and it shoots about the same. Most satisfying 5 shot group 2.9 inches at 600 followed up by 4.0 inches. Hope this info is useful. Have a great day.
I've got one in 243 as well. I've only been able to shoot about 30 rounds so far. I screwed up my measurement to the lands so the bullets were all jammed, apparently not something this gun prefers. I will say this though, I had several bullseyes, just couldn't get it to stay there. It's really for my lady but, I'm overall very pleased so far. I know it'll shoot once I get my loads together. Definitely worth the money.
I've seen a few places reporting the .243 barrels have issues stringing around a bit with more than a couple rounds. 6.5CM sounds pretty hot OOB, and I havnt heard much on the .308. (Preordered a .308 and will try 6.5 later, though pissed when I found out diff. length handguards).
One guy with a .243 on a forum swapped it out with a custom made 6mm or something and was getting absolutely sick 1/4 MOA out of it. Dont have link handy sorry.
