The other conflict for me is that it will be nice and warm at Eagle Firearms grand opening on Saturday morning.
I looked up the weather for the shoot spot and they are saying a HI of 24. So basically we are talking teens untill late afternoon. The roads are a mess and it is not going to melt off today or tomarrow for that matter up in the mountains.
I am not up for a 2+ hour drive to get to either shoot spot. The last shoot at least hit the 30's I think I may have to bow out on this one.
Let Me know for sure by 9:00 P.M.
And check the thread before You leave in the A.M.
tomorrow: cold and windy
sunday: warm and not so windy
I vote for sunday.
Or, In true ARFCOM fassion BOTH!
I spent $70 on .45 and .308 at walmart today :)
I'm out again this time... I'm leaving for North Dakota on monday!
(work)
I'm out for this weekend.. Just too cold. See ya next month.
I kind of think, after just getting back in, IT'S COLD OUT THERE :!:
If there is a chance that it's warmer Sunday and if there is any intrest, We can try then.
Maybe next weekend.
how bout we see how warm it is tomorrow then decide wether to go Sunday or hope for better weather next weekend?
For me this weekend is out I have things to do sunday. I think I will wait for next month I need more ammo anyway. The last shoot I went through 400 rnds of .223. This will give me more time to stock up. :D
Just checked the weather again, currently 7*
Forecast high 38* {About 10* less at elevation.}
Wind,
10-15 MPH
Personally I can handle the temp, I just don't like the wind. :?
We'll see what it does for Sunday, I'm not going to promise anything though.
Ummm, no ride.... no shoot. Karl.
I didn't want to go today. Keep me posted if it's going to be Sunday or a date TBD.
Sure Thing. 8)
:?
If its at least this nice tomorrow, I vote go.
The only question, is how much snow is up there.
I'll call (or maybe get online) next week to tell you what Cold is really like!
I'll be in ND next week, near the Canuck border (brrrrrrrrrrrrrrr)
I don't think I want to know about that one.

Rest of Today
Sunny and breezy. Highs 24 to 33. Northwest winds 15 to 30 mph with gusts to around 40 mph in the afternoon.
Tonight
Clear...breezy. Lows 4 to 13. Northwest winds 20 to 30 mph with gusts to around 50 mph after midnight.
Sunday
Mostly sunny. Not as cold. Highs in the 30s to lower 40s. Northwest winds 10 to 20 mph in the morning.
(for Lyons)
so... a little breezy in the morning but a nice afternoon. Sounds good to me. With all the sun today it's probably gonna melt some/most of the snow up there.
I might be able to make this one, depending if I can find a couple of other cadets to go with me. Karl, I’ll let you know if I am going, and you can catch a ride with me.

Hmmm, you talking about going tomorow? Or were you talking about next saturday? Karl.

Personally, I vote for next saturday. Just cuz I know shooting with a hangover really sux. Ummm, I got a party to attend tonight. Third one in 24 hours. Karl thelush Mann.
Next Friday is when we receive our PCS assignments, so I’m not sure how I will be next Saturday.
who was presidents day off? feb 20th? i might go shooting with a friend that day
PCS? Don't you have 1 more year here? Karl.
Well, I'm going up there tomorrow, and if the official shoot is moved to next saturday i'll go then too.
Nope, looks like I'm going to Mountain Home for a year (using SWAG based on what I know about AFPC), and then off to UPT somewhere. I find out all of the details next Friday night.
I believe I am the friend. Anyone else?Quote:

Well I've got Four new guns to try out so I'm going. Well,I can try three of them out, gotta find ammo for the fourth.
I just got the OK from teh wif to bring her XD-9 so I'll stop at wallyworld in the mornign and grab some 9mm. I gotta grab some clays anyway.
I'm thinkin I'll probably be up there around 10. It'll be chilly earlier in the morning and there's no fun in that.
I was thinking of about that time also.
Karl, If You want to do a shoot next week, and do it down that way it's fine with Me. 8)
Based upon my best guess on how AFPC (Air Force Personnel Command) works, I think that I will be going to Mountain Home AFB Idaho for about a year, before I go to pilot training somewhere TBD. I will find out everything next Friday night, and it is traditional to celebrate finally leaving this place, therefore, I probably won’t be shooting on that Saturday morning.Quote:
