Incubus is my favorite band. I've heard some Trivium too, pretty badass. Check out Protest the Hero, they're rad.

tab benoit, the cajun rocker,
yeah i know shelter me has been done by others and this is a cover song for a tv show, but the rest of album is pretty good if you like blues rock.
this is the live version I like the album mix better.
:Cool::Cool:
Stumbled across this earlier today.
Once upon a time black folk made truly awesome music ... just as Johnson's Great Society destroyed the black family, Hip Hop has destroyed black music.
Anyway, I got this on vinyl somewhere.
No, rock and roll was created by corporate bean counters and then made great by rebellious kids who grew up to become corporate bean counters that ruined it again.
I'd post links but I'm at work & youtube is blocked.
There's still lots of great music out there. It's just in the clubs, not at Pepsi Center. If you like country, there's lots of people in the alt-country or other fringes doing good stuff. Denver has a good local band, the Hollyfelds who have two women with awesome vocals fronting the band. There's the Railbenders.
In July someone who has made a whole career of being out of the spotlight, Dave Alvin will be at the Soiled Dove. Depending on his mood it could be country, folk, blues, rock, rockabilly or all of the above.
I think the major labels are dead and artists have to make their own way. It's rough for some but it means lots of playing live, merch, social networking and other ways to get noticed.

Yes I was a stinking hippie....but a right wing, gun toting, meat eating hippie. Never panhandled, protested, etc. I was in it for the party; the hippies have the best drugs!
Great song by an awesome band.
I'll be spending 30+ hours on the road between this past weekend and next. I've rediscovered some awesome music that I forgot I had.
I did fire up the Tube amp today and took in Dire Straits, Brothers in arms. [Coffee]
