You're good to go. A misdemeanor assault charge will not keep you from a CCW. And being able to buy firearms since is a very good sign....

Yes it worked out just fine and I was issued the license. And to top it off it only took three weeks to get it...:-)

I know crazy, I was planning on it taking the full three months... I realized also that in my very first post I said it was Arapahoe County which is incorrect. I live in Highlands Ranch and in Douglas County (lived in Littleton for about ten years prior, must have been on auto pilot when I typed that). Sorry if I got anyone's hopes up in Arapahoe. Big props to the Douglas County Sheriffs, they were very helpful and obviously quick with getting it done.
