Let's not forget all that damn tourism revenue!!!! How dare they?!?!?![Rant1]
In all seriousness, I agree with some of the things said in this thread, but we really are still dependent on the tourista money.
Only the body was in california. The mind, heart and soul were still here.
I can't believe you were such an asshole to all those Californians.
Didnt like most of them anyway.
I'm all about tourism... That means they are visiting and going home soon...
What part of Ca. are you from ? I have a cousin that lives in the Susanville area . I've visited him there a couple of times and really liked the area and the people. I lived in So. Cal. for a couple of years when I was younger. Didn't leave anything there I wanted to go back for.[Beer]
I am new to CO. Just moved here 2 months ago.
First, I did not take anybody's job. The company that hired me did a national search for someone with my qualifications. If you have a Ph.D. in electrical engineering with years of R&D experience doing remote sensing and geospatial intelligence, and you are from CO, then sure, you may feel that I stole that job from you. Otherwise, go pound sand.
Second, I am from Missouri, a state that is far more conservative than CO. That being said, here in CO, I am still trying to adjust being surrounded by so many liberals, illegals, and those who are here but don't speak a lick of English (legals or illegals). Before you call me racist, .... I am from a minority group who is never accounted as minority (yes, I am Asian).
Third, yes I am complaining about one thing ..... SHOOTING RANGES !! .... To be specific, state run public shooting ranges. Where I came from, you can find one with 25, 50, and 100 yards within 30 minutes of driving. In fact, they had two within my last residence in MO. Here in Front Range .... I have not heard of one within 1 hr drive.
Fourth, I am still shocked by the outrageous price private club charges people for membership around here. Like $700 a year ... OMG ... are they really trying to kill the 2nd amendment in this state?
Fifth, this is an observation .... .yes, you guys allow WAAAAYYYY too many fuckers from Commiefornia to move here and ruining this state. I run into these types everyday at work. They left Commiefornia because of the economy, taxes, and crimes ... yet, now that they are here, they try to turn this place to be exactly like Commiefornia. WTF?
Sixth, I don't watch sports nor am I a fan of any sports team. So I won't shed any tear if the Broncos lost or whatever. I just don't care about the Broncos, or any team for that matter.
Seventh, I don't care if people are not nice to me. I am a well paid, tax-paying, law abiding, conservative thinking professional. And I know damn well that this state is better off with me being here.
you are not a minority, aren't there like 100 billion Asians in the world?
hahah jk..welcome to colorado. :) I agree with a good prtion of what you said except the sports thing. My wife hates when one of my Boston teams is on TV. haha. Patriots tonight at 6....yeaaaahhhh buddy!

I was in the supply house a few years ago when some folks were complaining about out of staters moving in, particularly CA and TX. So I had to try to stir the pot and ask what they thought of Kansas people moving in. They just looked at me and said "no one gives a fuck about Kansas." lol
I guess you would rather to see a hi-tech company based in CO to fall behind in their effort to remain competitive because they cannot find a engineer that fits the job description locally, rather than their hiring someone from Missouri. Is that it?
If you want my job go apply for it. See if you are qualified.
No need to take your parking spot. We got plenty of empty spots already. In fact, all these spots would be empty if this company follows your line of thought. Once they fail to maintain their competitive edge, they will lose their market share, and they could end up closing business down for good, costing CO jobs and tax money. I bet you will like that, don't you?

Ah, a thread to stir the pot in!
Personally, I would like a Colorado Border Patrol with walls and gates and tourist visas for people from out of state to come visit, drop their money and be forced to leave! I would make the same requirements for companies to recruit from outside the state as it would be for federal immigration visas; you must have a skill that cannot be found in the local area for you to be able to migrate to Colorado. We have limited resources, land, air, water, to allow non-controlled immigration!
Mousegun87, I was at Fort Leonard Wood for a while and I can't say Missouri is much of a prize of a place to be from. The weather is truly screwed up there!
Okay, pot stirred!
I must say I agree with you, immigration needs to be controlled. As an immigrant myself, I had to prove to the US Gov. that I am worthy to have a permanent visa to live and work here. I must prove that my skill set is rare (and it is). Don't forget to make mandatory background check ... and I mean a deep background check that goes all the way back when you were 14 yrs of age. The background check that I went through makes the NICS check looks like peanuts in comparison.
No arguing there, Missouri has some of the most fucked up weather in the country. But, I am used to seeing lots of green vegetation, woods, tall trees, and thickly grown grass. These things are not that plentiful here in the Front Range area. I miss walking in the woods in the Ozarks. Another thing that takes some getting used to in CO is the dry air .... cannot say I like Missouri's high humidity, but it takes some getting used to with the dry climate. I guess the dry climate is good for storing firearms and ammo.
I love Colorado, I think it would be better if it had a couple beaches and we had the Raiders though. Honestly. Oh and a Krystals. How cool would that be!
Before you burn my house down...
[LOL]Kidding kidding.
Another whiney ass thread. I have to admit though, this one is really whiney. I never ever agree with Irving, at least until now. This thread is a waste of cyber space but at least it was entertaining.
Is Krystals better than Christals? Cuz we have Christals here.
In FLORIDA we have Rachels! lol

Ya man its in orlando and Kissimee I believe.
I remember this other NASTY place in Cocoa that did that same thing, A co-worker of mine would tell everyone hopw cool it was hahaha, "For 150 bucks you can bang 3 chicks!"
Ya dude! Might wanna save that money for your HERPE meds! lol
Never made it to the Corps, broke my knee, nose, and cheek bone in a car accident two weeks before my ship out to boot. I wish i could still go, but the Corps wont take me because of knee issues.
And now i'm living in Greeley, just down the street from UNC

I moved to CO from TX... But I am from neither and in the military. I was going to get my plates changed from TX to CO until I found out TX offers plates with a Gadsden flag on them. So I decided to get those instead. And I like to drive in the fast lane.
Go ahead, hate on me if you must for choosing to keep my TX plates, but I display them proudly, even in CO. Now if CO offered Gadsden Flag license plates, I would switch.
Oh, and in case you didn't know, Bailey Guns is from TX, and I'm pretty sure he's a closet communist (sorry dad). [Abused]
Maybe you wouldn't be so angry all the time if there was an In 'N Out where you lived...
pretty sure you need CO tags if are PCS to Colorado, if TDY you don't

Couldn't of said it better myself. To hell with all the over-paid so-called professional athletes. Not a single one of those turds are worth 10% of what they get paid.
Give me a firearm, give me a target, give me some good friends and lets get some shootin' done! [Beer]
Whataburger for my vote. It's about the only reason I can get excited about going to Texas.
