Crossbreed Super Tuck IWB holster and 5" 1911 in cargo shorts and a t-shirt.
No issues and not that hot.
So I went and looked at a few lil guys today and know I know why I have the; G26, 19, 17 and AR-15 pistol.....
I do like the Ruger LCP and the one with the laser is very cool! Just not sure how I feel about 6 +1 rounds and a .380....
I understand it is about firepower and self protection...but think about what your daily life is like? are you planning on a full blown zombie attack happening instantly or could it possibly be just a thug trying to rob you, or a few guys, or a car jacking? 7 rounds would be more than enough. and you can always carry and extra mag or two or three. they are light and easy to carry/store.
and you could have a larger gun in your vehicle...or even a rifle or shotgun with plenty of extra ammo.
So no mention of the Kahr PM9??
I had one along with a LCP, G36, G26.
Out of all of them the Kahr was my fav.
It wasnt as small as the lcp, but I didn't like the lcp. But it was smaller than the G36/26.
I just found that as I carried more and felt comfortable carrying, my 19 filled all those voids.
IMHO. We are all different. But check other the Kahr if you like a Glock!
I was gonna add that I might be over thinking it a bit. I tend to prepare for the worse (FULL BLOWN ZOMBIE ATTACK, middle of the day while shopping)!
So let's say you have to deal with a few BG and you have 7 rounds..... Depending on the placement of these guys and their capability it doesn't leave much room for error.... I tend to think I am the Shiz and capable of split second head shots, but realistic when the drenaline pumps and other dynamics equate, who knows?? Equate a mag change into the equation and i am starting to feel a bit better....
O yea man i did look at that KAhr and all i can say is; Pricey bugger.... Nice piece though! I thought it was close to the size of my 26 and figured I might as well carry the 26.... Might have to revisit it and maybe sell my 26 and fill the void with the G19.... Thanks for the reminder!

1st off unless it's a movie the odds are extremely rare you're going toe-toe with multiple assailants. Not to say it does not happen
2) After the 1st round no one (hopefully) wants to be a hero, they will either scatter real quickie like or return fire. BG's look for the easy prey not one who challenges them. Look like a victim, become one.
3) You should be looking for exit very quick unless you're in a small area with no exit
4) being in an area with no exit shows poor judgement on your part
5) This is real life not target shooting (See 1 & 2) you should be moving (running & gunning)
6) I have no issue carrying a 5 shot +P rated 38 revolver and feel confident on my skills to utilize it as needed
7) If and when you are called upon to draw and engage Everything you know, practice and hopefully did training for, kind of goes out the window.
8-infinity) Head shots?????????????? Really??? The weakest link in the human body. COM (Vital Organs) COM COM. Set up a 8" round target then a silhouette one next to it. Do 5-6 laps around the area, on the last lap draw from concealed and drop 1 in the 8" and or 1 in the silhouette. See which one you did better at.
That near miss in the head which ricocheted off the drug addled BG ended up lodged in some senoirs aorta . YMMV
