Prayers go out to the people affected by this. The latest I read was 27 dead, 18 of which were children.
I can somewhat understand how someone could rationalize going into their former place of employment and doing something stupid like this if they had been terminated and as a result lost everything they had - by no means do they have any justification for it, but I could see how someone in the wrong state of mind could convince themselves to do something like that. The question here though is what could these children have done that was so terrible that they needed to pay with their lives?

If you are looking for prevention without violating the Constitution you could get volunteer parents to guard the schools. But when that runs out just make sure that everyone should be armed and there are no gun free zones for maximum victims.

I have heard that the mother of the gunman in Conn. was/is a teacher there. Makes me wonder if it was her classroom he did this in as an attack towards her, and if he felt that she gave her students more attention than she did him. They have also reported that one adult in the school had been shot multiple times - Mom???

I just got a call here at work from the school district saying all Sheridan Schools are on lock down. Because of this shooting. You have to call the school to make arangments if you want to pick your child up.
