While I think this is great for all the LE that are against us but what about the ones that are with us? We have a lot of Sheriffs here in Colorado that are behind protecting our second amendment rights but now they are going to be punished. What message are we really sending here?
.
Sometimes really good folks can end up doing some really bad things. That was demonstrated during Katrina by some of Louisiana's finest.
How do you tell if product is in stock or shipping ETA?
I see they have Geiselle triggers, but at $260 they better be in stock.
I meant the goons who participated in the shootings of unarmed people "the bridge murders" during Katrina, Then burned the bodies in order to try to cover it up. Just wanted to clarify that.
Police officers and sheriff's deputies are civilians just like any other non-military person. They happen to have a job that requires they go out and look for the troublemakers in society. They need personal equipment that helps them do the job and that helps to ensure their safety.
Through no fault of their own average citizens are often sought out by those same troublemakers. I think Larue recognizes they need the same level of protection as the law enforcement officer. As a matter of fact, they may need a greater degree of protection because they don't have all the options (ie: backup, etc...) as the LE officer when dealing with the threats posed by the troublemakers.
This isn't about being "with us" or against us. This is about equality and doing what's right. And Larue did what's right.
Just placed my first order with LaRue. I probably could have found the stuff cheaper elsewhere, but we have to support the people who do the right things.
These guys know how to run a business AND have a great set of values. Not so often you see both these days, good on them.
And that has made my decision to make my next order with LaRue. Thumbs up guys !
Ok, time to sell some stuff on armslist and support these guys...I'll pay the money for this..

Press Release: Olympic Arms, Inc. Announces New York State Sales Policy
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
Olympic Arms is a staunch believer in and defender of the Constitution of the United States, and with special attention paid to the Bill of Rights that succinctly enumerates the security of our Divinely given Rights. One of those Rights is that to Keep and Bear Arms.
Legislation recently passed in the State of New York outlaws the AR15 and many other firearms, and will make it illegal for the good and free citizens of New York to own a large selection of legal and safe firearms and magazines. We feel as though the passage of this legislation exceeds the authority granted to the government of New York by its citizens, and violates the Constitution of the United States, ignoring such SCOTUS rulings as District of Columbia v. Heller - 554, U.S. 570 of 2008, McDonald v. Chicago - 561 U.S. 3025 of 2010, and specifically the case of United States v. Miller – 307 U.S. 174 of 1939.
Due the passing of this legislation, Olympic Arms would like to announce that the State of New York, any Law Enforcement Departments, Law Enforcement Officers, First Responders within the State of New York, or any New York State government entity or employee of such an entity - will no longer be served as customers.
In short, Olympic Arms will no longer be doing business with the State of New York or any governmental entity or employee of such governmental entity within the State of New York - henceforth and until such legislation is repealed, and an apology made to the good people of the State of New York and the American people.
If the leaders of the State of New York are willing to limit the right of the free and law abiding citizens of New York to arm themselves as they see fit under the Rights enumerate to all citizens of the United State through the Second Amendment, we feel as though the legislators and government entities within the State of New York should have to abide by the same restrictions.
This action has caused a division of the people into classes: Those the government deems valuable enough to protect with modern firearms, and those whose lives have been deemed as having less value, and whom the government has decided do not deserve the right to protect themselves with the same firearms. Olympic Arms will not support such behavior or policy against any citizen of this great nation.
Olympic Arms invites all firearms manufacturers, distributors and firearms dealers to join us in this action to refuse to do business with the State of New York. We must stand together, or we shall surely fall divided.
Sincerely,
Brian Schuetz
President
Olympic Arms, Inc.
Good for them
But that's probably what the libs want
Forum members couldn't stand Olympic Arms a few months ago now we'll see what happens.
Eh... I personally think that New York LE should ONLY be allowed to use Oly Arms. Just saying...
Don't have to like them, to respect them for taking a stand, and encouraging others to help in sending a very real message.
Its not like they will lose business over this anyways
GOOD! I think more manufacturers need to take this stand and not do business with states that are anti-freedom.
Yep. The manufacturers stand together, this stupidity will stop.
Probably true, HK hates the civi market anyway. Ve have vays of making you comply! Plus it's taxpayer money they are using to buy, that's free money right?

Based on the recent legislation in New York, we are prohibited from selling rifles and receivers to residents of New York. We have chosen to extend that prohibition to all governmental agencies associated with or located within New York. As a result we have halted sales of rifles, short barreled rifles, short barreled shotguns, machine guns, and silencers to New York governmental agencies.
For "civilian" customers residing in New York:
At your choice, we will:
- complete your order and ship to a dealer of your choice outside of NY
- refund your payment in full
- hold your items here for up to 6 months, at no charge - if you are in the process of leaving NY and taking residence in another state.
For LE/Govt customers in New York:
- Your orders have been cancelled.

This is now the 3rd company doing this to NY???
What we need is the big boys to do it... Colt, Springfield, Ruger, etc.
Those companies won't do it though.
Sweet!
Kudos!!!
I wonder how long it will be before there is a regulation or federal law requiring FFLs to sell to government agencies to maintain the license?
Hope Henry does this in NJ or leaves, but we'll see. (not that LEO or GOV purchase levers)
Outstanding!!!!

Great to see some companies doing this, wish more would.
^^^^ agreed. Hopefully magpul does the same to our state IF the law passes and they move.
