Seems like most here were the same as me. Growing up in Louisiana my favorite toy was a Benjamin .17 cal pellet rifle me and my chums killed many squirrels, rabbits, turtles, bullfrogs, cotton mouths, and skunks, we would be out behind our houses in the woods every day just seeing what we could get, good times and those squirrels and rabbits were good eating lol I just wish I knew how good turtle was at that time. Now I'm only 24 so what do you think kids would say they're favorite toy is today, Xbox , ps3.
My imagination, my little brother, the great outdoors and my books.
Sticks and rocks.
You guys were all a bunch of spoiled rich kids.
Outside
Oh yeah, Black Cat bottle rockets with a stick of 3/4" EMT electrical conduit for a shoulder rocket launcher/bazooka. Good times.
Wrist rocket slingshot I bought at Yellow Front. Both the best and the worst toy ever: Huge fun, huger trouble...[ROFL1]

Legos all the way, micro machines (used to take them to the beach and have epic fortresses defended by our brave tanks and attack helicopters), matchbox cars, GI Joes, and we had those late 80's/early 90's toy guns that looked real and made machine gun noises... We even used to dress up in fatigues and go out late at night on "missions" with fake guns. Now a days I believe people freak the hell out if they were to see us. Of course, we never got caught. I had an awesome childhood.
I had the fake guns that made cool noises and orchestrated many a night time mission myself. Good times!
Legos.
Various other toys came and went, but Legos were always the constant ... always at the center of play.
I had that. You'd peel his arm skin up and there were modules in there. He also came with an engine to lift.

Also loved full size GI JOE that came with a footlocker full of uniforms.
Honorable mention to Stretch Armstrong.
A magnifying glass. Ants did not have a prayer.
The GI Joes, my 1/24 scale slot cars, the skateboards. I was also big on listening to SW radio. Bought an old tube set in 66 or so and use to listen for hours. Of course by the time I was twelve growing up in Racing my dad said "Fine, you want to go race then go race" after bugging him since I was seven about wanting a Kart. I spent my savings and bought a used Kart and started.[Flower]
Lincoln logs. And matches. We called the game "insurance fraud".
Odd Ogg, hands down: "They greatest toy of all". Little boys like it but it scares the crap out of the girls! The toddler in the coveralls could have been me [Coffee]

Hands down, this was my all-time favorite. I got this for Christmas in 1967.

Old hand me down tonka toys that were faded and beat to shit before I got them. I loved being outside all the time. It's sad not to see my neighbor hood kids out and about.
"Well I got my first truck, when I was three, Drove a hundred thousand miles on my knees
Hauled marbles and rocks, and thought twice before
I hauled a Barbie Doll bed for the girl next door
She tried to pay me with a kiss I began to understand,
There's just something women like about a Pick Up Man." Joe Diffie - pickup man
Had both of these. Both, two of my favorites. I loved Evil Knievel. One of my childhood heroes.
