Movie Thread

Bummer. I recently heard someone say that the new phrase people are throwing around is "Get woke, go broke," so I think this trend may be on the way out.

They need to have a better motivation than to just remake everything with female leads.

I'm holding out for the remake of Lara Croft: Tomb Raider with a male lead. Maybe they'll call it Larry Croft?

Just finished this myself. I'm not a "comic book" movie guy either. I thought this movie portrayed a heinous murderer as a hero. The fact he was abused and went off his meds is irrelevant to me. I really wish Hollywood would come up with some good, ORIGINAL movies.

So who is excited about the new Picard StarTrek movie?

We're getting pretty smart. So when they say fire up the trasnporters, we realize they have no trasporters.

I'm about done with SciFi.

I thought it was a streaming series.

ETA: Just checked. It is a series for CBS. I'm a fan of TOS and never cared for TNG with Picard.

Very good, put it on your list ya'll. Trailer does not represent what the movie really is, and that's a good thing, too many trailers spoil the whole movie.
Based off the trailer, if you think it isn't your cup of tea, you'll be surprised. Put it on your list. It's partially comedic, sure, but not exactly it's full genre.
