Yep, this also applies to sick leave, but at least the overage is converted to annual leave at a ratio of 5:1, 5 hours of sick leave overage is converted to 1 hour of annual leave.
Do you lose all of it, or only the overage?
Mother in law bought us the season pass for Elitch Gardens, not fond of going places that I can't carry, but I feel obligated. Heading there in a few, blah!

Step one on installing tile: layout backer board.
Sounds fun!

Bedding in whole sheets and trying to get them in the right spot is fun
I learned the hard way to use backer board and install per manufacturer instructions. Save yourself the pain and do it that way.
We're at the point it's, How Much and How Long ?
sliced open my left thumb pretty good doing food prep tonight. The bad is it bled a lot and when I jerked my hand back blood sprayed everywhere in the kitchen. The good, I had a first aid kit with adequate gauze, neosporin and bandaids on hand to take care of it.
On the bright side, I got a cool real life Dexter lesson in how blood spatter works sans the homicide portion.

Just go back from a week in Orlando, IBM tech event.
Mandatory fun was a private party at Universal studios Thursday night.
Ouch! Once I dropped the blade from a food processor onto my foot. You wouldn't think it could cause that much damage, but it does.
I tried to get stitches out of the emergency room and couldn't do it. I went and it cost me $7,000 fucking dollars. I don't want to discourage anyone, as I didn't try very hard.
Sorry you got bit tonight, 303.
My hands have been layed open by blade/sharp edge, or grinder cutoff wheels many times over the years, and it's no fun. At least slices heal quicker than other types.
Luckily its on the fingerprint side and went at a slight angle and it's not very deep.
thanks OBC.

Some of you may remember that I did a handstand and my M&P40 compact came out of the holster and landed rear sight first on one of my knuckles while my hand was pressed flat against the concrete. I don't remember that fondly at all.
Pics or it didn't happen.
How about dropping a chest freezer on your big toe while wearing flip flops, ever seen squashed, split in several places tomatoe ? And yes, the spelling was intentional.
Wasn’t me, but I was on the other end of the freezer when it happened.
I know this young marine who was hit by an IED, if that counts.
If you reach my age without being cut, bruised, ground, smashed, gouged, pressed, stepped on, thrown off, thrown into, crashed, crashed into, knocked down, knocked out, knocked blurry, caved in on, run over, tried to breath water, burned, blistered, breathed in toxic substances, pulled muscles, ligaments, torn tendons, sprained ankles, wrists, knees, elbows, necks, broken bones, had surgery to repair injuries, been beat up, delivered a beating, been shot at, falling in and out of love, prayed to God for your life, you get the idea, life must have been boring. And a lot less painful.
I am not bragging, just reflecting.
hello to the weekend. good riddance to the past week.
