IIRC one scene was filmed at the Divide on s broadway.

I don't/didn't know the exact filming location, but the Freaks were extras, and a very young Bob Palmer had a cameo.
One of my all time favorite movies.
And as a little ETA side note: Bob Palmer was the keynote speaker at my HS graduation.

Wow.
The things you would never come to know, without the PWT, regardless of the hours of conversation had.
I love these types of 1st person random trivia factoids. Makes the world go 'round that much more enjoyably.
Keep 'em coming.

TT sometimes mixes up avatars upon initial page opening that is corrected when ads finish loading a couple seconds later and the page refreshes.
Funny as shit the different first thoughts upon seeing mixed up avatar.
Still haven't seen it, and I've been on a laptop this whole time.
Saw Goldie Sellers' rig at Lake Pueblo again. We met him there a few years ago, really super nice guy and fun to talk to. Didn't see him out and about this weekend. I think he gets up super early, fishes, then sits out the heat and goes out later in the day.
As I recall, his Class A tag was Goldie1, Lincoln pickup was Golide5, bass boat didn't catch. His SL500 was SELLERS. Everything except the Mercedes is GOLD (Bronze color).
Shoulda gabbed some pics, might not ever see that again.

Inspected an original Sears and Roebuck home today. It was ordered in 1902 from the catalog and built in town. Still has the original lead window panes and everything.
Here's another one.

In the scene where they come running out of the bar, is another guy we rode with from the rincon ca area. Now resides outside bullhead city az.
I think 'ol Bob had a cameo in Easy Rider too, might be wrong about that though.
Lol first of all, but I did already try it.....apparently NO JOY on the avatar still.
I need a smarter computer mind helping me, and I'm seeking that advice now.
Sure they aren't screwing with you?
I see the following:

Yeah, screwing with me is okay, because it fun to mess with somebody sometimes.
I know some people saw it, I re-doied it again and perhaps more folks can see it now.
P.S.......shush about that pants thing...it was a LONG time to get rid of that...and I'm pretty happy about that.. :)
Squishy Pants McGee if I remember correctly [ROFL1]
Well the forum member formerly known as Squishy Pants McGee
I can now see your Vanishing Point avatar.
All this hub bub over a vanishing point avatar?
Why are you called squishy pants mcgee again?
They told me a little about it. As to what it's worth I have no idea, but if it went on the market, I don't think it'd be an outlier in price compared to the rest of the neighborhood. The local museum wants it, but they'd have to pay to have it relocated down there, so of course they aren't game. I didn't get to walk around the inside much, but I did see most of the first floor. It was small and cramped. It had a unique breakfast nook that felt like a secluded booth at a restaurant. I'll post a picture if it doesn't have the address. The best part was the super aggressive texture on the ceiling in the restroom. I really like the idea of the airlock on older homes. I'm sure that's not what it was called, enclosed porch is probably a better term.

There was a tornado between Lincoln and Omaha today I guess. I went outside afterward and the clouds were awesome. I've seen pictures of clouds like this, but never in person. I know there is a name for these, but I'm not into weather enough to know what it is. In person I thought I could see a circular pattern to them, but it doesn't really translate into the photos.

Looks like cotton balls.
Not that much uncommon up here. Last hail storm that took out a good sized area of roofs up here had that look, only harder to see due to how packed together they were.
Back in Kansas we called then “After a tornado clouds”

They are Mammatus clouds.
Mammatus clouds are actually altocumulus, cirrus, cumulonimbus, or other types of clouds that have these pouch-like shapes hanging out of the bottom. The pouches are created when cold air within the cloud sinks down toward the Earth.
Well, there you have it.
Yeah those are mammatus clouds, and I had been taught that it was warm air pockets pushing up into the colder cloud deck.
5 posts to 6,000 so I might as well whore it up some.
Chillin in Telluride for our anniversary. The Inn at Lost Creek is the shiznit.

Friggin sideways of course.
Mount Wilson. The bell boy tells me this is the mountain pictured on Coors labels. It's also the view from our balcony.
Heya GG.
How's stuff going for ya?
Joey Chitwood.
No shit....lol.
Happy Hump Day.
Had a long day today. Looked at 21 different structures, including some new stuff I've never been on before. Technically I've climbed a windmill before, but this time I got paid to do it. :)
Also this happened.

See this chimney?

That's on top of this four story building. It was over 100 years old and was pretty impressive in person. Even more impressive was that the reason it was in the middle of the roof, is because they added on to the building later, so originally that thing was on the side. Lots of brick work likely done by hand back then. Impressive.

Wind blew some stuff over. I've driven past about 10 others blown over. One of them all 8 towers blew over, the entire run except for the pivot itself.

The roads out here are so full of water that the day after it rains, you can barely do 40mph on the best dirt roads, unlike the 75mph you can do out in Colorado. Google doesn't recognize these unmaintained areas and tries to route you through them. One of the few times I say to myself, "Maybe I should get a truck."

Corn. What's better than walking on metal roofs? Doing it with work boots after you just walked through ankle deep mud for 50 yards just to get to the structure. Can see foot prints all the way from the ladder.

Saw this dead bird next to an egg. I'm thinking the bird stole the egg, then got killed my something else before it could eat it. Maybe.
