My daughter says that she doesn't like squirrels and wants to hunt them. I have a feeling that once she witnesses one getting dead she might change her mind.
However, she lived through the rooster culling, and doesn't mind gutting up fish at all. The true test will be how she feels about eating squirrels and especially rabbits. Only time (and probably Instagram) will tell.
Just get a small trap and introduce them to swimming lessons.
Five gallon buckets work really well for that.
I'd consider that if I had a pest problem, but in this case it is not the method of take in which I'm interested at this time.

I actually raised two from a couple of weeks of age until they were 6 months, then I relocated them. It was a hassle. Named them Bud & Alice.

I've probably killed hundreds of squirrels in my lifetime. Nothing like a good squirrel gumbo.

Yeah. I was so dammed tired I hit the fart sack for a nap around 4:30 and woke up at midnight. I'll be up for a while.
I only have one awesome DMV story, but it was magical....unbeknownst to me, their computers had been down all day and I showed up at the Ft. Lupton office right when the system came back up....I was the only dude there. Kinda like winning the lottery for tags.
