36" tire size (actual height)...One calculator said I needed a 5.27 with 4.88 on the high side torque/towing power. I need to find out where 7.3's rpm are at in E-350's in 3rd and OD w/E4OD, no tachs in those so I need the scanner to read it. On another chart, 4.88 at this size would be "closest to stock" result, and it recommends 5.29 as the torque/towing power. I've also heard that longer highway trips with gears like 4.88 are killers for the gears...get too hot...wtf?Quote:

We have the hubs and axels, I'd need bearings, seals, and I could probably use the calipers and brackets from that other disc diff. Might need new brackets.
One good thing about tearing all this stuff apart, is having it all out you can media blast and repaint and make everything clean and neat the way it should be, when you put it all back together.
BTW....if any car guys browse this thread and see this post.... Tri-State car show will be making a return to Denver in March of next year. It was a big deal in the 80's / early 90's, and efforts are underway to bring it back.
I think it's pretty cool they're gonna give it a go again.
