I am a college student (going for Criminal Justice/LEO) and work selling auto parts. Just recently (August 2011) made the switch from a branch store (NAPA Auto Parts) to a dealership. Couldn't have been happier with my decesion!
More pay, less work, and I now have a chair to sit in all day [Coffee]
36 years as an LEO, now retired.
Retired electsoldiermechanenterpreknowitall. In retirement have turned my hand to being a budding chemical engineer. Everyday my friend and I head into my makeshift lab and try to perfect turning good bourbon into uric acid[Coffee]
Own a retail awards shop. I make trophies and plaques and do all types of engraving (laser and diamond). Been doing this for forty years. Not much money in it these days but it's still an enjoyable job (greatest customers in the world).
I'm a one-man shop these days because of the economy.
Not usually. My laser is an older one without auto-focus, so if the part is flat I can probably do it. I do a lot of barrels for several gunsmiths around here, but I use the old pantograph and diamond engrave them.Quote:
Can you do engraving on NFA lowers?
I did put a Navy logo on a sideplate of a j-frame the other day for a friend. I used my new computer controlled engraver.
A little known fact I found out about several years ago; The ATF considers engraving as gunsmithing. Therefore, if a trophy shop keeps a firearm or receiver overnight, they are technically supposed to have an FFL. True or not, I don't keep anybody's gun overnight except my own.
Over 30 years in IT. From development to CIO of some large outfits. Yep I started before Mr. Bill. He's made a bit more money, I think I've been just as successful. Currently CIO for a company providing ethics education simulations to universities.
Always keeping an eye out for web and C# folks.
