Very Impressed the illegals at a gun mfg turned in to a "debate" over AR capability. Or something like that, got to 411 replies before being locked.
I was wondering if it went an even 300, yet over 400 replies. Damnnn .
Throw in no temp or permanent bans. Amazing
And all it was supposed to be was a, Hey look guys this just happened. Then people clutched their pearls because the words trash and or junk got used.
Kudos to all that participated. See Kazoo for your participation trophy. Something something crayons.

Son of a bitch! I've been flirting with actually trying to write a stand up routine, and I was thinking of a joke about porn just this weekend. It's not far off from this guy. He totally beat me to it. Video is not safe for work, but start at 3:50 to see the joke I'm talking about. Mine was a bit more fleshed out, but way less perfected. Oh well.

Irving, if you need flooring practice I have couple hundred feet of tile in the hallway...
Well, I was wondering if you can generally get pieces to do stairs in any type of flooring that is sold? I assume I'll have to contact the manufacturer of the stuff I've been installing to see if they make the stair nose stuff. Otherwise I'm not sure how I'm going to do the stairs.
Tile is something I haven't really ever done before.
Hiya yourself.

Depends on type/line of flooring you are using.
Most of the popular/big name brands have options for stairs, either stair nose or some sort of trim. Always had good luck with prefinished natural wood(sometimes nonstock but available) stair nosing, transition and trim options. Not sure on some of the laminates/composites.
If no product is available from manufacturer then you make your own. I have had the best luck with making my own wood nosing/trim and using a complimentary/contrasting color to avoid issues with color matching.
Tile depends on product.
Went through the ringer with some laminate flooring a while back. Ordered what I thought would be enough stair nose well in advance of a project, after starting realized I needed more. Company had changed colors, designs and dimensions on me and had no old stock. Ended up having to custom diy make some stair nose and stain to match.
Irving, you supposed to plan for stairs before you buy the flooring.
What fun would that be?
I didn't buy the flooring or do the plans. This is the cheapest laminate at Home Depot, so I'm skeptical that stair nose will be available. I doubt that making my own is going to be an option though. Uh oh.

Good morning folks
& then there were 4 members logged on.
15 years ago when I redid all the doors and millwork, I put on some faux oak stair end caps and did carpet up the center and regret that. The upstairs hall is laminate and the downstairs oak has been replaced so now looking at full oak treads to redo the stairs.
What does everyone put on them to prevent ass over teakettle syndrome when wearing socks?
We have full oak treads to match the 3/4" Oak hardwood upstairs. Don't have anything on them to add grip, and thus far have only had a single instance of ass over tea kettle. (Unfortunately, it was my wife, and she had one hell of a bruise and such).
When I have some time, I'm going to refinish them, and I saw an idea that includes some light sand being added to add traction that doesn't really show up. I haven't tested it yet, but will before I do the stairs.
Wonder if shark bite can be added to the topcoat finish... This is the first thing I found. https://www.amazon.com/Non-Skid-Addi...ag=googhydr-20

To think i actually liked Stairway to Heaven, once.
Man I got some ribbing today at work.
First thing this morning guy walks over with some readers and says put these on real quick... I did.
He goes, Yep...Walter from breaking bad. And everyone laughed their ass off. It went downhill from there...it'll be old hat tomorrow, oh well.
I found out today that we have some whelen led strobes that are programmable, with steady on as one of the settings. I'm going to use a few for courtesy, and under hood lighting for my truck. They are very bright, and small, and are 12V.
If some of you ho nation brethren might be interested in having a few of these give me a pm.
Check and see how hot they run.
