That was some twilight zone shit.

Wyome will without a doubt swoop in and grab the new page. Just you wait.
I see it happen pretty regularly on this particular thread, but sometimes other threads. I think it has to do with posts being deleted, but I don't know for sure.
I haven't deleted anything.
Sheesh
I chose the red pill
Yeah but the recent glitch was 2 pages, not enough posts to explain an entire page of forwarding.
Remodeling the bedroom. Lathe and plaster repair sucks. Especially repairing a 12x12 hole in the ceiling where the previous owner thought it would be a good idea to try and run “central air” through pvc to each room from a swamp cooler on the roof. (It doesn’t work, in case any of you kids are hankering to try it). And no, I never pre-drill trim, especially when placing it over lathe/plaster. My finishing nailer has paid for itself many times over.
Anyhoo, night again folks.
?Anyhoo? ... (i.e., the previous post was a snoozer, and I?m out)
Ok. Gnite.
No. Anyhoo i.e., the glitch distracted me... squirrel !
:)
Where?!?
This kit has been well worth the money.
https://www.amazon.com/Freeman-P4FRF...eeman+nail+kit
I bought it since I was going to redo a large portion of the house when we bought it, and the finish nailer, and stapler, have been great tools.
The framing nailer was awesome when we rebuilt a large portion of a hack-job addition at my brothers house.
& now I'm thinking about my 1897 Denver Victorian & all the plaster & moulding work required to convert it back to a single family unit. It had at one time been partitioned into 7 apartments.
Says on the bottom. Nail capacity is reduced for the following states . Then list 1/2 doz.
For the record this is post #89577 on page 2235
It’ll be worth it.
I enjoyed restoring all the old gas lighting fixtures. The banister was a b*tch & a super score when I salvaged matching fireplace tile & transom hardware from a roll off & remodel 5 blocks south. I miss the old architectural salvage that was off of Colorado Blvd.
Even after they moved, but before they closed for good, it just wasn't the same.
Not a bad price to include a framing nailer
Briefly, there were additional pages listed at the bottom of the thread but if you clicked the 'last' button, you couldn't advance to them. If you clicked on the individual page buttons, they reloaded the current page but still showed additional pages after that. Then another refresh & poof, no more mystery pages & the tally was current. Least that was how it appeared for me.
Never knew about the architectural salvage. Would’ve been helpful. We randomly found a stick of some crown at Buds (before they moved) that saved me from having to get creative with the router. Another skill not learned.
I never did find the baseboard, took a few cracks @ it to get the detail but i was finally able to replicate it from new material. Saved me several thousands not having it milled special out of Tennessee.
Tennessee?!? Ain’t putting no Tennessee wood in my Edgewater bungalo. (Emphasis on bung)
I still have an antique door hardware collection that will take me years to sell off. Entire households of hinges & knobs, ranging from japan finishes to a nautical themed pewter for 8 interior doors. Neat stuff.
Before you joined Chick, I had a claim in an original Sears Roebuck house that was ordered from the catalog. Guy said it had something like seven different hardwoods throughout the house. I posted an exterior photo.
Yeah. Ive seen the actual catalog material, cant say ive knowingly seen one of the houses in person though.
You post a lot of exterior photos.
Found it. Picture should be posted around 6/10/18. Probably in this thread.
Found it. Roebuck house is on page 2065.
Page 1834 was good too. Those were simpler times.
Triple soothing action? I don't think so Halls cough drops!
Sooth me once, shame on you...
Ahh, I've got my settings to show 20 posts per page. I don't know what the conversion would be.
Ummm #82594?
#82721 made me laugh again.
I saw it. : )
Now I'm curious about squishy pants mcgee...
Micro pins and wood glue at joints, hot melt every 12-14", dime spot if straight, quarter spot if lateral stress.
Decent quality wood trim really shouldn't split if 16ga nails or smaller are used. If material < 3/4" be careful that counter sink not set too deep. The driver can cause matl to split. Don't nail closer than 2" to end of pcs.
Haven't had a chance to listen, but sounds interesting. Monster on Sesame Street scares kids in 1970 and it's taken off air.
