Hell yea I would totally pimp that. Get it running and fix up the interior and leave the exterior for awhile, its actually a "in" thing to do according to my cable box.

Be a lot less work for me, especially considering I don't know dick about body work.
I’ve got the hankering for a classic car recently. ‘65 Mustang or ‘69 Camaro sort of thing. But then my wife just convinced me to put some of my cash into a CD, so I’m less likely to make a bad impulsive buy. I also threw some into LendingClub and Fundrise, more as an experiment than anything. But I still want some old American muscle.
Just buy some PSA rifle kits for $279 and throw in a 80% lower. When the shtf you'll get 1k-1.5k per easy.
Irving, that would be a badass resto. That's tough!
Makes me think of Deliverance....awesome idea.
I'd probably pull the mast off though. There is a duce and a half as well, but it's got a back hoe installed.
The 69 Camaro ss would be the ok only Camaro I'd ever do. Wouldn't mind a 69 c10 ether. Just like the one on dazed and confused, all black with a little chrome.......2sweet
Speaking of talented body resto guys, we should all bribe timelement with some beer for some lessons. That dude is 50% artist 50% genius when it comes to building.
It looks like it used to be an ice delivery truck, so I'm sure it wasn't original to begin with.
It's real steel, with radiator and grill, fairly straight original Az vehicle.
The issue is i'm think, do i buy or keep $$ for shop and related items. Not should i buy and try flipping to a CO resident. Because i know for what it is, it's an easy $7k ride (as is ) up there.
There's an emerging market for resto buyers who have been building the work trucks from that era. . have 1-2 rat rod resto boys down in weld cty, might have an interest
You might be surprised what that boom is worth. To of all people some local boys who jeu know, peek up cars for almost free, amigo.
A nice daily driver, not a show car. But not frustratingly unreliable either.
And yeah, leave the mast/boom thing.
I figure with no bed, and that super deep engine compartment, it could hold hella batteries.
I suggest a Volvo with a 5.0 dropped into it. RWD and the Ford 5.0 drops right in.
All you need is lots of expendable cash, a shitload of free time, a great place to work on it with lots of tools and a lift, and get started.
Oh, and lots of wiring diagnostic, and fabrication skills along with the plasma cutter, welders, and torch will be quite helpful as well.
Another dream shattered.
Put that dream back together with some fiberglass and Bondo.
No...if you have time, you can get it done before you're crappin in your pants at the dinner table. You did mention reliability with the old look. That's the way to do it.
:)
You’ve made quite an assumption that I’m not already crappin my pants at the dinner table.
Um, I just got here.
Say whut?
Maybe it is best I NOT know...
I've been trying to do that with the truck. It's taken several years with lots of life interruption and it's still not done yet....and I do have access to all the stuff I mentioned.
Restorations can be incredibly hard and very expensive it you want to put it back to stock. There is no difference if you want to upgrade them and make them more "modern" with the drivetrain and systems available in more recent year models, and keep the old look at the same time. A lot is involved, lots of fabricating is necessary.
W T F?
Chick....you IN?
You guys want to see a picture of member Wulf202?
Hells the f* NO.
Nasty & weird. Even for my standards.
I need an image hosting vehicle.
No that was here before he abandoned us.
