Yeah... Hopefully I'm the last sucker. There were two last I knew

I don't have one. Friend is working hard on his license and wanted some dead weight. (and company) I've never been in a small plane before. Was a good time.
Will let you know. Just trying to help out a friend. Gave him some fuel $ for the ride.
Could be, fuel truck was running all around KBJC. Topped off the tanks so there wasn't a need to re-fuel in pueblo KPUB.
Flew down, met a couple of co-worker chicks and they took us to town for a late lunch. Then back to KBJC. Awesome day, smooth ride.
Just happened to get a photo of my house. See if you can find it!

Awesome. Any day flying is a good day.
Tell him he needs to get himself some wheel pants! :D
Edit: Wait a second... Are students allowed to have non-IP passengers before they get their license?
You have to have your Private pilots license and 200 hours of pilot in command before you can get a Commercial license. Somebody that is building time usually loves to have someone for company especially if they will pay for the gas.
I think this also may hold true for an Instrument rating.
250hrs for a CPL. Under FAR part 61. Reduced numbers if you do it under part 141.
You have to have 50hrs PIC X-country time and 40hrs simulated/actual instrument to get your IR part 61. These are what I'm working on now, hence the offer to trade safety pilot time to build simulated IMC.
Also, for an ATP, the highest level of license, you need 1500hrs, plus 300hrs XC unless you meet one of a few exemptions that lower it to 1250 (military pilot for example)
I'm sure his friend is working towards one of these licenses, but already has his PPL, and that's why he is building time.
And here I sit at lowly 180 hrs, but did that in only 14 months.

Nice bow sights!
You should SBR it... oh wait you did. :)
Yep, something like that. Already PPL and needing to build time for whatever is next. He's doing/done with Instrument and working on the Twin engine stuff, but all is just time and money. (literally has neither) Working 2nd job to pay for training and fuel, which he has no time for because of work. Circle of life?
This was a cross country "technically" for those hours he's a bit short on. It's odd to think a 100 mile trip is cross country, but it is.

Bought my dream bike today. 2010 Yamaha R1. Purchased from the original owner with 4K miles. I'm trying to figure out how to upload a video of the exhaust because these crossplane motors sound like nothing else on the road.

My brother taking it for a spin
Videos up! I have wanted one of these since 2009 and finally found the perfect one. Hell he only lived five minutes from me too. I scored a smoking deal on it so it all worked out great.
^^^ my buddy has one just like this even same color, man do these things want you to let the clutch out and give it gas! I would only drive in the neighborhood so I wouldn't go over 100 mph. Ride safe!
Congrats!!!!
I had a 02 R1 and IMHO they are simply the best bike on the road! Last day I had mine I hit 127 coming home form the fed center (3am) and hit that speed from Kipling to wads....the R1 is a beast!
I agree and thank you!! I have had 9 street bikes in the seven years that I have been riding and this is my second R1. I have tried a lot and the R1 is really tough to beat. IMHO, they have always been ahead of the game on looks and technology. The dual underseat exhaust just looks badass and the front end speaks for itself. The power this thing deliveries is amazing. It is well tuned down in B mode but crank it up to A mode and it runs like a cheetah on cocaine. My record ('04 R1) was 179mph on a closed course in Mexico. It still had more to give but I ran out of road. I'm not nearly that ambitious anymore to try that again but I have a feeling this bike will do that in a much faster time than it's previous generations.
This was the old girl here. Don't mind the racing slick on the back, I was young dumb and full of... I got tired of replacing tires because I think that year I picked up three good size nails all within a few months of each other.

Sweet bikes! I rode an R1 one time. Went so fast I told myself never again. I'll stick with Atvs and UTVs.
Boss decide to hush an old LJ24 so he could use it again after the noise requirements went into effect this year. A couple of non-NFA cans and it's good to go.

What am I looking at
Industrial size daisy cookie cutter... duh.
Hush kit (sound suppressor) that makes this ancient Learjet stage 3 noise compliant. FAA mandated that all aircraft weighing less than 75K lbs be stage 3 compliant by Jan 1, 2016. It was with either put it on a stick in front of the office or pay to make it less loud.
Looks expensive!
