16? in Stapleton with A ton of slush on the grass
The wind is blowing too fast in Aurora, close to blizzard conditions, if it was snowing harder. Probably 12" flat snow, and 24" drifts.
Lost power for 12 hours. Drifts from 6" to 6 ft. Gonna be busy tomorrow.
Last evening I measured 7" when I shoveled the walk, measured 19" more this morning, and another 3" fell through the day, so about 29 inches so far.
This morning I got out the Toro snowthrower to clear around the cabins and vehicles.
Knowing the snowplow would have a tough time moving so much and would constrict the driveway and parking areas. So, I opened the driveway with the snowthrower. My cousin pitched in to work the machine for the first time. Six hours with the snowthrower. We can get out now and the snowplow will be able to handle the rest.
Snow is to continue here through Thursday. With luck maybe we'll get a foot more.

Ok, last night I was scoffing - right now, I'm fookin' tired of it! Ok Mike Nelson, you were right - you made yer point - can we be fuckin' done now?
Looks like it finally stopped up here. 3' or so I guess. No less. No sign of the damn plows yet though.
Lots of drifts here. 2'-3' so far.
Went out to shovel. Hod to go out the back door and trudge around as it was drifted about 3 feet deep against the front door. Cleaned off the front porch and a path to the garage but I'll get up at 0500 to shovel the rest, as the wind made shoveling an exercise in futility. Probably 16-18 inches of actual accumulation, but hard to tell with the wind.
I'm thrilled right now. I really wanted a big storm. This is awesome.
I twice cleared my driveway, three neighbors' drives and 400-500 ft of sidewalk with the blower today. There's a whole bunch of snow out there. Kids love it. Dogs love it. But my brittany just isn't made for wet snow. This is after a 3 min trip outside. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...678b16c94d.jpg
