Yep, I was. I think t should have been at least double the mileage before any trans. problems unless it was abused, and it wasn’t, I’ve been the only owner.

I was under my truck a lot this weekend too. Only it was in the desert since we were camping in Moab. Minor stuff, but car stuff takes me a long time to do by myself. Then once I fixed the minor stuff, I immediately took a test drive through camp and high centered on a rock and punched a hole in the scavenge pan of the tranny and pinched a wire in half. So that was actually a major issue that left to my own devices would probably take me a week to fix on my own in my garage. My awesome friends helped me do it in a single night, in the dirt and in the dark.
Speaking of transmission, I was about to post this on Vehicle thread, but I would rather post it here . (so that it won't get hijacked by other manufacturer fanboys. Or certain power unit fans.)
So, My mother and I was going to Parker to take care of something, and her vehicle transmission in the middle of Parker Rd won't get into 1st gear. Put it on P and Changed it on N and D, and it still would not engage a gear.
When we turned off the vehicle in the middle of the Parker Rd with hazard sign, and started the engine on, it was finally back to normal. (Assholes were honking like uncivilized people.)
We parked the car at the strip mall, and tried to see what the heck is going on. Nothing. No code. No warning light.
I know this transmission was "lifetime fill", but it was not really a true statement. Damn Daimler Corporation.
Now, I gotta call my mother and she needs to bring the vehicle to my place on Fri to do Transmission service. I need to order a Transmission service kit online tomorrow. [Rant1]Quote:
The Mercedes 722.9 transmission comes from the factory "sealed for life", yet they make a replacement transmission filter, fluid and gasket.

Sounds like a broken sun shell, Bob. At least I think that?s what they call that part. Kind of the week link in the design. Not an expensive part but if you go that deep into it then might as well freshen the whole thing up anyways.
Late start...
Good morning
Coming over the pass last night got rowdy in a hurry. Ended up pulling one of the rigs off a trailer, to tow the tow rig and trailer up the pass while weaving through traffic. Jeeps without 4wd should have to use a different bathroom, by the way.
You've had all sorts of adventures this week Irving.
Especially if they identify as 4WD.
Yesterday was awesome.
Tactical match was fine & all but the real treat was shooting clays with Whitewalrus afterwards...
Seems I have a facility for it, or beginner's luck maybe.
Regardless... that activity has risen to the top 5 most fun activities you can do with your skirt in the right orientation.

* Thank you for taking the time out of your Sunday afternoon to introduce me to it & for the use of your toys. Really was fun to do something new & give genuine purpose to the firearm.
Oh & I got to try yet another shotgun!
Here is most of the crew. The Amigo did zero trails and would have died on any that we did.

Guy on the end has something stuck in his teeth, spinach maybe.
Those are the comments my wife makes. "I like that picture because it looks like there is a tree growing out of the back of the tire." I'm going to try and post a single photo of each vehicle to keep everything short.

1st gen Land Rover Range Rover that surprised everyone by secretly stepping up from 33's to 35's with bead locks and adding sliders, front and rear bumpers and tire carrier without telling anyone.

FJ80 with all the mods. Fully locked on 35s with a TRD supercharger. It doesn't look it, but this was apparently the most capable rig of the group.

1st Gen 4Runner on 37s, locked in the rear. This was such a fun truck.

They shouldn't be anywhere but the HOV lanes. I looked at a few nice jeeps and tacomas , decent if not below book, clean, etc. Till i got to the bottom of the description. 2WD ?? WTF is that about?
That's like putting a 4cyl 1bbl carb in a 40' motor home. Sure it will eventually get you there, but why?
Huh? Curious as to what anatomical configuration has it lifting its front leg...
Does your --- blip--- hang low
Can you swing it to & fro
Can you tie it in a knot
Can you tie it in a bow...
Can you throw it over your shoulder
Like a continental soldier...
Winch cable?
Diff cover?
Transmission scavenge pan?
D-ring shackle?
Wait...why exactly do I know that diddy?
