It's my understanding that women tend to be better at shooting post-instruction because they are willing to listen to instruction and apply it as taught.
Instructors -- what's been your experience?
Jesus. I haven?t met a woman yet that was very capable of taking instructions.
Fucked up day.
Got a title.
Dad looks like shit, I doubt he'll be alive in a year from now.
Those of you who might have a funk with your folks, I'm sorry. I know what that's about.
I was closer to my GF's parents, and my neighbors in Buie…. Jerry and Claire than I am with either of my parents. It's hard to walk in the door there, or even have a phone call with them. I envy functional "families"... as seriously weird as that is to say.
Rofl!
That is exactly what I say when I watch men stammer & hem-haw, trying to say something to me. Its excruciating to watch.
I nip it by saying 'Hold that thought...,' look them in the eye & shift slightly to make sure I have their gaze/attention & I then say 'I am not your wife or girlfriend, as lovely as I'm sure she is, stop trying to talk to me like I'm her, please.'
Once there was this dude who was so frustrating I couldn't stand it anymore & I said:
We're not ever going to shag so stop talking to me like you're afraid I'm going to take away your p*ssy privileges. You'll never get access, understood?
The room got extra quiet & then my best friend started laughing so hard he fell over for dramatic effect & everyone else joined in. Apparently they all knew the guy was a serious creeper, would relentlessly hit on me & they encouraged him all the while knowing i would have none of it. I played the part & wasn't even in on the joke. Guess its not a bad thing to be predictable, in that way.
Well... Guess that's all I've got...
I think its a little more complicated than that.
When it comes to shooting guys tend to (and no, not all guys):
1. Have bad habits from doing it before
2. Already know because just like anything else that a "real man" should know - they know
3. Try to run before they can walk - skip the basics and go straight to what they want to do
I can say that of the people I teach, the females tend to make more progress.
Whitewalrus! Have I mentioned (this week) just how much fun I had learning trap fundamentals from you? Really appreciated your time & tutelage on the subject. Thank you.
Crickets...
Hiya CavSct
You are most welcome. Very busy this month, but hopefully we can get out again next month!
GK driveby
Its too wet finish planting my garden... now I'm bored.
I really think I'm going to look into a 24 hour private indoor range.
Can you imagine?
The only reason I'd ever end up leaving the place is when I will run out of ammo.
I have a place to shoot outdoors & also have a membership indoors.
Both however are not 24/7.
Think my point was I would go now if I wasn't standing in the mud & rain.
CavSct said he'd take me to try lasers & nvgs once, but I let him off the hook. Hes been pretty darn busy with the kiddos, work & et al.

Hanover Range:
No restriction to shooting times 24/7
Most are not out in the total middle of nowhere though
Hoping for an opportunity with another group of friends this summer.
The indoor range I was speaking of is 10m or so from my house. Especially @ 11pm
buy it, would keep you busy :)
I get along with most anyone so I'm not concerned about that, however I didn't think my 'newbie' status was going to be an asset regardless of my accelerated learning curve or skill set. I believe I'm rooted in this community & competition enough now however, to stay any concerns about my interest & intent.
Hence my renewed interest in the facility.
