I?ve seen three. Two were far enough away they were kind of cool but one was spooky close and I was picking out a safe place to ride it out. Fortunately that one lifted up and went away so I didn?t have to shelter in place.

Born and raised in La Junta, my folks still live there, shit hole to say the least, I was happy when my brother purchased a house in Pueblo West, so we could all meet there, that is saying something, because Pueblo isn?t known for being the greatest place either.
I fold. Still hurting from those bloody stairs. G'night folks.
G'morning
Im very excited to try a new style of shooting Saturday. I like doing things for the first time & @ a competition no less it should be exhilarating.
5 to 200yds... yes please!
Obviously, I'm not really competing as much as I'll be auditing the match with a pass or fail, but still...
I am looking forward to seeing how my skills translate & if @ all.
Plus I am going to learn so much just showing up & watching everyone else first.
Time for me to resurrect a new batch of HMWHC t-shirts.
Some folks confuse equipment with training
Some folks think because they're men, vets, good ol' boys, etc., that they shouldn't be getting beaten by a woman
Some folks aren't as self-sure as they think
Some folks don't like when the word of the day is: loser, and they are its definition.

Yeah, this. We did a 1 day class and then 1 full day pistol comp course. 25 shooters 4 of them novice women, in different stages, my spouse and friends spouse among them.
Top ten had 4 women in the 4,5,8 & 10th spot. When you consider the women had done nothing more than casual plinking before this. There were a few men who went home with Prep H as consolation prizes. Some of them literally vocal about the casual match.
Ive always expected to be last.
Then I do my best & I'm usually not.
I'm tickled that I was 14th in the last match on Sunday & 3rd in the vtac standard.
It's not just a signature line, I've worked for it.
And i'm sure you deserve it. However there will be some shooters. Thankfully low in number, who one day throw your game due to some low voiced comment or snide remark towards you.
Hell i've as i'm sure others have, towards another male shooter. Usually a novice who is on their game and the hot shot isn't. Throwing around, oh he's just lucky is all. Yeah lucky across the match while you're stomping your feet , pouting like a 5 yr old.
The hard part is that I'm not just trying to 'game' it for the competitions. My aim is to learn everything & then apply it where & when I can. The competition is the best training.
Oh I pout a little. Ive kicked a few rocks. Cussed a bit too when I know it wasn't my best application & I've made a silly mistake.
For example Ive rested my barrel on the vtac wall more than once in the same string, forgotten to close the bolt when reloading between barricades, or just plain picked a bad position & run out of time.
I shot my first dueling tree last Sunday too.
Now I need to find a texas star to try.
Go to any match for YOURSELF.
Be safe and follow the rules, do your own thing otherwise, and ignore any idiotic criticism that might make it to your ear. Do not let that kind of stuff interfere with your personal progress at whatever speed that happens to be.
If you're there with friends offering constructive advice, that's a whole different deal of course.
Night folks
At the crack of dawn this morning a mean little screaming squirrel learnt whose tree it isn't.
Good morning folks
Though this was ancillary to the preservation of my tree as that behavior from anyone just 8 feet from my bedroom window will likely receive the same salutation.
Poit
New seat cushions for the cab of the bambalance today. This next trip should be a bit more comfortable.
Im still hoping to see this vehicle someday.
Hey there.
It's cool. I dig it. I'll never get rid of it, way too useful.
So you've said.
I'm in the process of reorganizing it's contents, and removing items that are no longer pertinent. Tow straps and tie downs, ball mounts, camping stuff, roadside repair items, tools, emergency items and all the like.
It does kinda suck that I can finally attend a fourth of july event this year out of the last three, and I won't have it with me to use.
Why not?
Tomorrow I'll r+r the front tank of the van and get it drained out, remove the sender and try to figure out how to duplicate/modify a replacement somehow. If I can't get that tank cleaned out and functional before the trip, at least it will be empty for when I have time to do so. I'll replace all the flexible lines and install clear line filters ahead of the selector valve instead of after. At least I know that the selector switch and the valve are both functioning properly.
I'm currently working with the sender supplier for the rear tank who evidently changed their product to not match the OE unit any longer, yet their product image still matches the OE sender.
