Oh. That's unfortunate.

Oh. That's unfortunate.
But the shooting fast part still holds true. Just do it with your CZ.
Admittedly I'm partial to my rifle & very comfortable with it's use. That was a big part of the fun because I could focus solely on the task.
I'm not sure I have the skills to do that style with a handgun, yet & really get to enjoy the action of it. Im still 'thinking' about operating it & still have to consciously aim if that makes sense.
I also dont think it would be much fun until I have a decent set of sights on my CZ.
I've hardly taken her out for proper training. Best Ive done is 50 rds each time I go to the range & that's just to make sure I don't lose interest.
The matches are where you build that skill set.
All this Chick talking about matches makes me think I might wanna learn em too
Matches are the one true path.
They can be combined. My wife used to tell me to let her sell burritos at matches.
Look how much fun they are having in this thread: https://www.ar-15.co/threads/10785-P...18#post2218918
Don't you want to be one of the cool kids too?
The mods always go back & clean up the banter.
There has been some super funny material in that thread that isn't there anymore.
I haven't noticed that, I'll have to check that thread more often.
Stop futzing with the gun. Seriously stop. I am a huge gun ho and tinker and change for fun, but shoot some matches first with the gun. If you find that the sights hold you back you can get the best super duper tactical roll 66 with a +20 everytime you use them sights.
But honestly if I had stopped gear jumping and just got a good ar and a glock and concentrated on my skills I would be miles ahead now.
Pistol shooting is like 95% skill and only 5% gear. You will reach a certain point where you could place well with zero sights. Well, that might be a bit of an exaggeration.
The sights are off, terribly.
& I don't chase gear.
If the sights aren't adjustable, there is a low chance they are off. But giving you the full benefit of the doubt, have you had a second (or third) shooter confirm the sights are off?
Okay, I believe you then.
As you can imagine, we've had a few people over the years (usually new shooters) going down the parts rabbit hole and saying how their sights were off and asking what parts to buy. Usually they just hadn't quite learned to reliably get on target with a handgun yet. Hope you aren't offended.
If it matters... to really be the sleeper I bought her to be she needs a new bushing as well. As I understand it mounting the front site is ancillary to this which is why I have custom quotes for the work.
Just havent sent it off to be done yet.
Good morning folks
I was thinking about something this morning & I'm not sure I've said it in here for a while... I appreciate the consideration from everyone with regard to my interests in firearms & sport shooting. I am very fortunate to have found such a wonderful group of folks who encourage me. Thanks.
Oddly enough that's one of the main reasons for the forum ;)
The PWT and WAT are just space filler.
We've never met, but you seem dedicated to the sport and open to ideas / suggestions. Nice to see you didn't jump in with a Tier 1 mentality, but willing to see what works for you. IMO, based on you wanting to excel, i wouldn't be surprised if you get a few offers down the road for sponsors.
I know the back story to the chainsaw, even read the thread where SideShowBob calls him out.
Not sure I've heard the dish on the group buy.
She eh?
I joined this site amidst the departure of a controversial 'she' who is not to be named.
Same one or is there yet another?
Speaking of joining... I've got a couple of themed anniversaries coming up @ the end of June & mid July.
First membership to a range, my first rifle build, when I first joined here...
Yes I am going to celebrate my 1st rifle build, go ahead & tease.
