Well, got here early to do some work, and my ridiculously expensive laptop will not turn on. Not happy.
Hopefully something happened where it got unplugged and the battery is just dead.

Here?
Basically the boarder of KS and CO.
A few bombers flying around as well.
One was coming right at me, but I popped it into neutral and goosed the throttle a few times and he turned around. Coward.
Somewhat related but not...
Don't play chicken with Chick N.
My wife's Stinkpad T410 finally gave up even though it's been running with a useless battery that won't charge for months now. Pretty sure she finally killed the AC connector.
Spent too much for a replacement refurb T430P for another one she'll just destroy in a year.
She's using one of my spares (T500) while she's out of town, I just hope it comes back in one piece. Pretty hard to eff up a magnesium frame laptop but she seems to be able to break them all. Mostly she trashes the charge ports and/or lid hinges.
Did you get it sorted Irving or will it have to wait?
If probably wont help but I had a similar issue once. I popped the battery out & after it was reseated the puter started.
Not home yet. Sitting in traffic. No external battery.
Turned on when I plugged it in at home. Said the battery was full as well. Hope that doesn't happen again.
Weird
Yes, and it wasted a lot of my planned work time.
Heya.
Why does the calculator on the computer always open exactly where I don't want it on the screen?
I think that it opens in the last place that you had it, which makes this even worse.
Put it where you want it to open. Try holding down the CTL key and clicking the close (X). It should remember the location.
If only I could get Quicken to open the MF password dialog on my #1 monitor (always comes up on #2 monitor). Stupid Quicken. It's slow AF too. But I'm a slave to it.
Winders IS stupid, it is entirely not intuitive to the way you use your computer daily. It can guess programs you use often. BFD.
I want the calculator in a different spot every time. It's kind of like my gumball issue from a few weeks ago where I always grab two, and sometimes I get two of the same color. The other day that happened FIVE times in a row. Statistical probability whaaaaaaaaat?!
Car is packed, bags are packed....
Operation Get Me Some Whataburger & Go See My Daddy starts in the morning
Have fun, drive safe.
Gilpinguy posted this a while back, thought the sentiment needed to be visited again. Maybe I should have started a new thread in GD.
Which forum member has the sigline: (paraphrased) ...'if you're not feeding or fucking me you don't get a say about my needs' ?
Hoping to get my vehicle out of the shop today.. 3 repairs in 3 months... Bought a Toyota for reliability haha
Yay...just crossed into Texas...only a lot more to go
Thanks
At least this time minion #3 is a co-driver and not just a damn strap hanger....
I'm always doing something different, or on a different screen when I pop open the calculator. It probably comes up in the same place as it was when I closed it last, but since the screen has changed, it's just usually in the wrong place.
Go to literally any other burger place and eat a burger and it will be the same thing.
I've been very busy this year. I'm really appreciating that.
