THE "WTF were they thinking" thread!

Did this to myself tonight, only I think closer. I knew what I was messing with from the start, so it was all that much the worse. I unscrewed both bolts to the refrigerant canister, standing away expecting it to blow. But it didn't. So I leaned over it to see what was going on. Then it about blew my face off. 134a is the bright green color of anti-freeze and my eyebrows were that color. Who knows where the bolt it blew out went, glad it wasn't through my brain.

Yeah. I went and washed my face and feel okay. Eyelids felt a little burned up and all the sensitive parts of my face feel very dry still. Also, I'm a bit cold.

When you put your face over something it raises the odds that it will blast off by 100%.

You should look at your face with a UV light to see if you missed a spot. That green stuff is UV dye.

Nah, trying to sell the van, but as per the reputation, people keep flaking on me from Craigslist. The guy I bought this latest Trooper from said it jumped out of gear and rolled into a concrete parking post, in the front. Which is funny, because the guy I bought the first Trooper from said it jumped out of gear and rolled into a tree, in the back. Anyway, I realized that the front radiator support is tack welded and probably riveted into the front clip, so the bent part isn't an easy swap from the pick n pull. So I was doing a little surgery.

Yep. Someone at some sort of crematorium/burial place thought now would be an excellent time to send out some junk mail to drum up a little business. WTF?
