If you want a free CAD program for the most basic things take a look at Blender. It will be a steep learning curve but worth it. It runs on underpowered PCs. I am still trying to figure it out myself in detail, and not sure how to get holes etc. But for the 3d printer stand I am creating it rocks. 20 minutes and all the 2x4 and cladding is figured out. It's not parametric like SolidWorks, NX or Creo, but if you want to plan out a closet, or some cabinets or a simple welded structure it will be just fine.

That's awesome. Puppy Preschool was cancelled today due to weather. That didn't break my heart. The truck does fine on snow/ice, but I don't.
