I used to play a little D&D when I was younger.
And there it is. Maybe this is why she hasn?t been allowed to test up.
I have a nephew that is in his mid twenties and had done karate since he was very young. He?s actually an instructor now at one of the schools. When he was progressing it seemed the school always wanted more money from his parents.
Maybe $20 a month doesn?t buy you a yellow belt?
Yeah, I don't understand the drive for these places to essentially sell belts. It tears down the skill value of the belt systems.
(I do understand greed, but you would think that any authority over the belt system (if there is one) would shut it down.)
My parents didn?t have any objections. Probably out of all of the crazy stuff I did in my youth playing a fantasy game might have even brought them a little joy.
I probably still have my dice and a couple of books somewhere.
I was so geeky I even used to buy little lead figures and hand paint them. I had several that really represented some of my characters.
Don't like the bipod I bought for the RPR, gotta send it back.[fail]
Do like the squeeze bag though. Fill for it should be here tomorrow. Wanted to see bag before decided what to use for fill.
Because martial arts [business] are kids driven.
BS-JJ and K.Maga places are full of kids as well. As a kid, they want to have a similar or same belt as their friends who referred or started early.
If someone doesn't like belt system and no weight classes (LOL), take Kendo. :D
Probably that is one only martial arts, which they do not have a visual belt. They use kyū/dan system.

So, what are you filling it with?
I?ve got one filled with sand that I don?t care for.
I have one filled with lead shot (or maybe BBs- been twenty five years since I filled it) that I like.
High density polyethylene beads. Approx 1/4" diam.
May be a little large, will have to see. If too large will switch to mix of plastic/steel BB's.
Went with 1/4" beads cause they were easy to find. Relatively light weight and pretty much weather proof. No corrosion or stains from getting wet. Less squeeze needed to actuate.
Rice works well too...
Browsing the Denver post on line today.

Last match this year for me.
Hybrid PRS-tactical out to 840 ish.
Fun learning something new -- again.
630am....I just want donuts and burritos
Bacon and eggs sound kind of yummy to me.
8:30 and no plans. Outside starting a tool holder for some projects I need to revisit.
Santiagos was pretty good this morning.
Headed down to pick up one of the minions and spend most of day volunteering at Ft Logan placing wreaths for Wreath Ceremony.
Youngens need to learn the importance of honoring those who serve. Today is lesson in never forget.
Minion asked to be included, saying he wants to learn more about great grandpa and great great grandpa.
The Wreath Ceremony and placing of the wreaths was a good thing. Will be a family function going forward.
Taps and Bell Honors created plenty of misty eyes.
Good to hear. Sounds like a memorable experience.
Don't forget to take the time to write stuff down about grandpa & great-grandpa if you haven't already - chances are most of their military archives burned in the fire, and we never know when our kids / future generations will forever lose the oral history we carry.
That's pretty cool, Lobo.
Yesterday, my gas gun behaved like a bolt gun & I couldn't finish shooting the match. Still, it was lovely weather, a fun cof & very nice folks to keep company with so I'm glad I went.
I've always appreciated that far more than a bolt gun acting like a gas gun. That gets too exciting.
Think PSA has BCG on sale for holiday. May be cheap way to have a back up. Full swap can save time trouble shooting sometimes.
A bunch of 1911's listed in TP. Spent all my money on rifles this year. Figures.
