It wasn't that Elway would have wanted him, it's whether Brock wanted to stay in Denver. He felt slighted when they benched him to bring back Peyton. What was he expecting when he's sitting second fiddle to one of the best QBs to play the game? Of course when Peyton got better he'd be back. Brock didn't fall apart, I was at that game, he was doing good. Peyton was expected to be back either that game or the next. He didn't get the recognition he was owed, IMHO, and he felt slighted by that. Good riddance. Elway was right to let him go, he didn't want someone here who didn't want to be here.

Brock may have felt slighted but I bet it was more to do with he would always be compared to Peyton, just as everyone was compared to Elway after he retired. There also the millions of more dollars.

Elway wouldn't sign Manziel for $1/year, IMHO. Dude's a head case . . . you're not going to bring that disaster/distraction to a defending SB champ.

Sanchez could be a good backup and bring some needed veteran maturity to the backfield for whoever ends up playing QB. It's a low risk signing with a decent upside.
