I always have my fancy match ammo that Im zeroed for, just prefer to use less expensive rds for the paper shots or drills. Walmart made that easy & inexpensive before, & I got a little preoccupied with precision so I forgot I was going to need to order it... good price on the lc today. I might go back & buy the limit again tomorrow because its just a few boxes.
I went to walmart 2 days ago, and they do not carry a pistol ammo now? Even my wife told me that it was old news.
I have enough rifle ammos to last me 2 years (except common 223/556), but pistol ammo would only last me 2 range sessions.
Any cheap retail ammo sellers for recommendation?
Looks like Cabelas is cheaper than Sportsmans?
Ammoseek.com
I grabbed a Popeye's chicken sammich since I was in Castle Rock picking up my CCW. Wasn't fresh and I wasn't impressed. The red beans and rice still makes me happy, but the portion sizes have shrunk.
Thanks. Since I buy just little at a time (usually while grocery shopping) walmart was perfect place.
I usually buy about 200 round max at a time. So retail would be more ideal due to shipping cost.
So far cabelas was least expensive doing some hw.
Btw. Popeyes sammich while ammo shopping would be awesome. I dont know what kinda addictive chemicals they put in it, but I like their sandwich.
Im going to need to stay overnight in the Springs/Pueblo area for back to back matches & training often this year. I typically stay at private residences when traveling so I have near zero experience with finding a hotel. Anyone have a suggestion for a budget hotel where the tweaker/not a tweaker guest ratio is low?
Not a super 8[Coffee]
I like bed & breakfasts, except I dont think Ill get to enjoy the latter for these occasions, so probably not what I should be looking at.
I dont care about the tweakers actually, its the cleanliness Im concerned with, which youd think might go hand in hand ... apparently not.
Cheap and clean don't go together. Extended stay America is clean enough.
Some day you?ll start reloading and save yourself from driving somewhere searching for ammunition.
Heck, train your husband right and just have him crank out whatever you need.
I dropped a screwdriver fitting while working at the junkyard today. When I found it I said, "My precioussssss!" And I think the people working next to me might have heard.
You gotta' do the Gollum voice too.

If it was not Gollum, Lord of the ring 2 and 3 would have been real boring.
I use that line all the time, particularly as I'm hugging my insulated coffee cup in the morning.
Ding. Sometimes I forget about Murdoch's.
I usually take a peek to see if they have any sub .22LR when I'm in there for something else (because I found some there once) but I'm so flush I don't pick anything up unless I notice it's DIRT cheap.
Last ammo run I made was batting cleanup on the pistol ammo at the Parker Walmart. I neckbearded a crap-ton out of there.
Mowers and rocks don't mix very well...unless you count that insurance commercial that was funny as hell. Find the blade killers first and own your property management like a pro bitch.
I was a rock gathering MF'er today though, good stuff and many of them in the 20/30 lb. range...the walls I'm building aren't good enough to keep illegals out, but they do look cool. I also located two extremely large ones on the property however, and I will face a somewhat significant level of difficulty trying to unearth them without neato machinery to assist me.
I've not had a good experience from any Popeye's location.
for some it's officially friday. For others, it's another. let me look at the calendar, moment.
Yeah, it's Friday for anyone with a calendar and a time piece.
Speaking of time....the shit's runnin' out whether you're a kid or an older person.
I-25NB, just south of the Springs is completely closed for a vehicle fire. Late model Dodge towing skid steer. Hope it's open in a few hours when I have to come back.
Ugh. Close to getting rid of the wife?s vehicle and so far I?ve spent $600 on it today. Good news for the next owner is they?ll have a new windshield, a fresh oil change and air filter, and new brakes front and rear.
Hopefully you'll get a return on that investment.
Maybe. The car is worth about $3K though so probably not.
There?s even some discussion about just giving it to our son in Wyoming since it?s probably a better winter vehicle than his car.
Yeah. The windshield was pretty noticeable.

Washed it too. That will probably help. Lol.

Yeah that would stop people from wanting to buy it, or at least paying your asking price :)
