This morning I put up a hummingbird feeder at our Palisade farm. At 2:15 p.m., we had our first visit by an adult female Broad-tailed Hummingbird.
On Friday, a friend heard a hummingbird flyover in Louisville so I put a feeder up at the cabin. We had to bring it in at night because of the freezing temps but a hummer could arrive any time now. There have been a handful of reports around the state now.

For sure, the birds are arriving sooner by about 10 days than ~the past few decades. I'm curious how numerous/common Costa's are where you are? When (date period) do you see them? We tend to stay pretty stocked on the protein bars. Wife had just made a costco run before SHTF so we had two costco size boxes (more like cases) plus I tend to always grab a box or two every time i hit the store. One of hers did happen to be granola and not protein, but there's a lot of carbs in them so that's good for the situation if needed.Quote:
